And this warrants a firing? Maybe the players are not fit, maybe they are slacking in training, who knows? Relax with the firings!

He's been at the club for about 5 minutes, I would give him the a year and a half before deciding personally. Any coach needs time to make a team his own. Even world class calibre coaches don't always have teams performing super well until their second season. We will never build a serious team by having a new coach every few months.

1-1 Beautiful free kick from Fortounis, and progression to the next stage is in the bank, bravo Olympiakara!

Best of luck to your pal, this is not something I can be of assistance with old man.

You could be right, it might indeed be a footballing culture thing. Back to our original chat though, would you be interested in an avatar bet? Something like whichever player gets the most games wins? I would take Retso and you take Manthatis? If you're interested we can discuss further by pm.

You are right about not producing players, the way our team has been for the last two decades at least, every match is a must win. We can not afford to bring up young talent and have them learn their craft in our matches because mistakes (that every young player makes no matter how talented) cost points, Olympiakos has fired managers that have won doubles. There is no margin for errors. We can buy young talent and offer a platform for them to shine if they prove worthy, but that is as good as it gets. As far as I know, if I am wrong please don't be shy, the only academy players to get real playing time are but a handful and they have not really carved out a place with us anyway (Giannou, Mendrinos, Fetfatzidi...as far as I know). But personally that is not a big deal for me, it would be nice to bring up young talent through our system but who do these kids play against? What is the level of competition and intensity? A young player who has any skill and ambition should not be at our academy IMO, he should be playing professional soccer at any club where he can get consistent starts in a professional league for men, not 15 and 16 year olds. Better to play in the football league against real men that will be best for a young player who has hopes of making a solid career.

Time, their own will, and some luck will eventually say who will become the better player. For me, a young player to break the starting 11 anywhere in the back 4 is much more difficult than where Manthatis plays. The coach must really have faith is the player. You do not see this very often at a club like ours.

What a shameful act of violence, f.ucking animals. Any chance the perpetrators get apprehended? *puts on flame suit*

Promising kid for sure! I think Retsos is even better, the kid is a freak, has played every position at the back for us this year, and at 18 or 19 that is huge.

Don't you have some katsikia to go and tend to old man?
-
If I had to venture a guess I would say you think the way you do because you have some form of mental defect that causes you to think the way you do.

All I'm saying is that no one really took Tsakas and his Prince seriously, if that is going somewhere strange in your opinion that's ok. We can agree to disagree it is no big deal.
-
Reaper, Tsakas was a pure troll job, and it was obvious, what kind of Saudi Prince would send his representative (Tsakas) to press conferences in a yellow taxi??
-
I don't think anyone took his delusions seriously...save a few desperate fans who were hoping for a rich buyer to come in and build a real contender.

Poor bastard, he must have been mercilesly ripped on throughout his life for his appearance. His media exposure perhaps has brought him some sort of celebrity status even if it is a joke thing. He has made a name for himself still. Sweet redemption.

Does anyone if Pateras is currently living in Greece or abroad? I heard rumors that he was abroad long term to avoid some tax issues, any credible source on this y'all can share?

It is not easy after a derby loss to keep your cool, let alone concede that your rival was better, it takes @@ and shows character. Bravo sou file. At the end of the day we are all fans, we do not get paid by our teams to wage PR campaigns. It is refreshing to be able to exchange posts without having to be internet hooligans for our cubs.
