  2. Better luck next time boys!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NvfJaPucjU
  3. We have a friendlies game topic...
  4. Have a great weekend all! If you're hitting the skins wrap it up!
  5. Michel was not as good I think his last year, as for replacing Mitroglou and Manolas, you are not wrong, but you know it is easy to sell, not always easy to find a good replacement, but I guess Marinaki could have done better, I'll give you the win on that. But overall, he is better (head and shoulders) than every single one of his peers in the league. If you want to argue otherwise, the floor is yours.
  6. You might be right, I'm not going to speak on that now, but how many of Olympiakos' Greek league games did you see this year? I mean even if you've watched every minute, that's 3 games, from which we dropped points in one. You might be right, but I think at this point in time you might be jumping the gun.
  7. I liked Michel a lot too, but I think he might have lost the locker room that final year, something was just not right with the team. If you can elaborate on why Marinaki is bad for the club, I will listen to your thoughts. Honestly though, I don't see that, he runs the club in a very professional manner for the most part, even though he did screw the pooch this summer in a big way. But there is no other patron in the Greek league I would trade him for, I think all fans will agree on that as well.
  8. Sollied was just a bad fit for our soccer culture, we need a coach with a strong character and thick skin, the press and the peanut gallery eat up coaches like Sollied like rappers at a backyard bbq at the first slip up.
  9. To even think of changes coaches again this season is INSANE, it would set us back to square one. Bento may not be the right choice (its still too early to say), the team needs some stability and needs to find some rhythm and cohesion. To me it looks like we are getting there. I might be dead wrong but we can't keep changing coaches every time we lose a match or two. We need to seriously look for a capable young hungry coach who knows the circus he will be coming to and that has the talent and balls to sit here for 2-3 years and build a serious team with an identity and character, that will play attacking soccer and have some "egoismo" and will not swallow loosing at home to apoel's or being knocked out from beer sheevas. It's not so easy, but nothing that has value is. Get it done re Proedre, enough of the revolving door. Show us what an "Olympiakara" you are, and close some chatty Patty's mouths.
  10. Fortounis could have scored himself as well in the first if he would have placed his shot instead of firing it on the defender, the net was wide open for him.
  11. I think we are actually stronger than last year, just have not hit our stride yet.
  12. And Ideye's goal that was a late offside call? You are not remembering the game well, just in the first half we could have scored 3 "gia plaka".
  13. On sport-fm some caller who phoned in said the fans booed when the banner was raised, it was at the same time the substitution mix up happened.
  14. I only saw the first half, but I thought the team looked pretty good. Defence again is not our strongest line and basically from what I heard and saw the Cypriots converted their only chance, congrats to them, but really they were lucky to not get spanked. We hit 3 posts and created plenty of good chances. The team had a messy pre season, but we look like we are on the right track to me. I can see us making a break out performance vs Aek this weekend, let's see if I am right or if I will come down with a case of foot in mouth disease.
  15. Not sure if you mean hip hop is a problem, or if its just what they listen to full time, but if you think the music is an issue, the whole world listens to hip hop, even people who manage to keep a steady job. White kids, black kids, old folks, even people who don't speak english.
  16. On this very day, in 1998, Andre 3000 and Big Boi, the duo that make up the mighty Outkast, released in my opinion one of the finest albums ever in the art of rap. If you area hip hop head and hav not heard it, this is required listening and you might have more than one eargasms in the process. Aquemini is the third studio album by American hip hop duo OutKast, released on September 29, 1998 through LaFace Records. The title is a portmanteau of the two performers' Zodiac signs: Aquarius (Big Boi) and Gemini (André 3000), which is indicative of the album's recurring theme of the differing personalities of the two members. The group recorded the majority of the album in Bobby Brown's Bosstown Recording Studios and Doppler Studios, both in Atlanta, Georgia. Released as the follow-up to the duo's 1996 album ATLiens, Aquemini expands on the previous record's outer space-inspired compositions by incorporating live instrumentation. The commercial success of ATLiens allowed for more creative freedom for the group, which led to the members self-producing the majority of the tracks. The band employed a large number of musicians for the album, who frequently entered and exited the studio throughout the recording process and had a major influence on the writing development of the album's songs. Lyrically, Aquemini explores various themes including human nature, addiction, and interpersonal relationships. The album was certified platinum in November 1998, only two months after its release, and was certified double platinum on July 2, 1999 by the Recording Industry Association of America. Aquemini peaked at number two on both the Billboard 200 and the Top R&B/Hip-Hop charts. Four of the album's tracks had already or would later become singles, although some were limited (promotional) releases and not available commercially. The record also received rave reviews from music critics, who praised the album's musicality and unique lyrical themes. It was ranked at number 500 in the book version of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. wikipedia
  17. Plenty of blame to go around, you are ok with letting the people who were running the country (into the ground) off the hook entirely?
  18. Because cops for starters get away with it, even keeping their jobs and second you dont see blacks and whites being treated the same, not even close, that is why people have had enough. You can add this story to the white privilege list: Cops who arrested Dylann Roof 'treated him to a Burger King meal when he complained about feeling hungry after shooting dead nine black church goers'
  19. You see, you're basing this on what? The way people dress? A entertainers image? Do you think these successful rappers are actually lamenting their fate and wish they could flee back to their respective ghettos and lives of poverty and crime? An image is an image, it's marketing. Nobody wants to live in a neighborhood full of thieves addicts and murderers. It is easy to point fingers and call people hypocrites, do you know them personally? Or have access to their bank statements etc? That's not the issue. The issue is police killings and the call of millions to stop it.
  20. Either way, you are free to blame many of the problems you have both brought up (aek66 as well) of the black community on the people in the community themselves. You can still stand with the millions of people, black white veterans athletes etc who are calling for an end to the insane abuse of power of the police resulting in an alarming amount of loss of life (many unarmed and on video). Surely, such excessive use of deadly force must be something that we need to change? Do people deserve to die over selling loose cigarettes? Or because an officer is scared to death of black "thugs", or worse yet perhaps a member of some hate group or clan? It's bad enough that the US imprisons more people than any other nation on the planet (for profit as well), can we at least give them the right to a trial before we snuff them out?
  21. It's about opportunity and socio-economics and playing on an uneven field from the moment you enter the world as well. It is not simply one thing or another. Issues are multifaceted and have many moving parts. Very few people enjoy or wish to live in an urban warzone with no hopes and dreams. Blacks, minorities and poor people are set up to fail in many ways. Being a criminal is not a career choice anyone makes willingly, it is a last resort borne out of a lack of better alternatives. If you look into things seriously with an open mind, and not simply to validate your preconceived notion, you might be surprised at what you find. I will not hold my breath, and I don't expect to convince you at the moment however.
  22. Some of the biggest crimes against humanity were committed by "decent" men in proper attire. Sorry, don't buy it.
  23. There's certainly a case to be made for that as well.
  24. I don't know what a biy or a sjw is...as for the rest of your post, you might be right, or you might be expressing yourself poorly. Either way, the whole of the matter comes down to much more than just role models. Speaking on role models, there are plenty of positive role models to be found, you don't need to focus on the thugs and whores as you say.
