Is it possible for epo to wait with the point deduction until the play-offs? If we would start with 3 or 6p deducted it would be over for us before the first kick-off.

Am I the only one thinking about bringing in Christodoulopoulos? I know the history between him and the club but those that he's pissed at aren't near the club anymore.

I'm going to assume that you simply forgot Chatziisaias

Yes! Since then he has played in Platanias, the Azerbaijani league and the French b ethniki. I guess that doesn't tell us much as we're comparing with the Swedish g ethniki. Do you have any thoughts about him? -

Akropolis have signed two Greeks on free transfer, Dimitrios Sialmas and Pavlos Mitropoulos! I actually signed Mitropoulos to PAOK on fm 13 =) http://www.transfermarkt.com/pavlos-mitropoulos/profil/spieler/132297 http://www.transfermarkt.com/dimitrios-sialmas/profil/spieler/46073 Besides these transfers, two half-greeks (or one half-greek and one albanian with a changed first name) have also been transferred to the club. One Greek-Swedish guy and one Greek-Albanian guy. Glad to see them hold on to their history! :gr: -

GK-SF-L1: PAOK - Olympiakos (02-Mar-16, 19:30 GR)

He can always compromise. By sending a full squad from the U21 (or even lower) the club wouldn't risk any timoria from the epo but it would still be a protest. This way Savvidis would save his face. -

Do you really think that the focus will be at the referee after tonight's game? Or will it be at the monkeys that threw flares for 40 minutes straight? We can blame the diaitisia for many things, but in the end of the day it's the fans (some hundred of 25 000) that will give them a 0-3 win. It's the "fans" that will give us a point-deduction and it's the fans that scare away the families and the children from the stadium. I don't have anything against pyro and I'm actually burning in the stands myself, but I'm 100% against throwing flares onto the pitch and screwing my team. The flares should be kept in the stands and not be thrown in some act of trying to mimic the afghanis running around in the suburbs of Athens. You want Savvidis to take care of the referee problems? We will have greater problems than that when Savvidis is tired of being embarrassed by the fans and leaves. -

OlympicHellas// Thanks for sharing the info! It's just so unreal for me that some of the best teams in Australia were Greek and nearly vanished due to the Australians not wanting any immigrant teams in the league. A real shame what they did to the immigrant teams. Read on Wikipedia about some of the stasi actions, changing the badge of South Melbourne and removing Hellas from the club's name etc. I hope the Greek talents that hesitate to play for the Greek ethiki get to hear these stories from their parents and pappoudes so that they don't select the Kangaroos over the ethniki ;) The differences between Australia and Sweden on this issue seems to be quite big, although it can be hard to compare as none of the immigrant teams here have been as successful as the ones in Au. Currently, in the b ethniki we have an Assyrian team, a Syriac team and a Kurdish team. In g ethniki north we have Akropolis and in g ethniki south we have a team from the eastern parts of Greater Greece :D -

I'm just waiting for the ridiculous comments some of the leftist-anarkist-drug addicts will say when/if Savvidis decides to build a new stadium; "Toumba panta o naos mas", "De ksexname tin istoria mas, 8a meinoume TOUMBA", "Eee Rosso de kseris tipota apo tin istoria tou PAOK mas, fyge apo edw re!" I swear that some of these people will protest against having the stadium on another location but at the same time protest against demolishing Toumba in order to get space for a new stadium. I myself hope that we get a new stadium as soon as possible. Toumba has a great history but it's time to move on to a more modern stadium. As Reaper says, we've heard the talk about stadia before in Greece, so I won't be surprised if nothing happens

Greek Teams in The Diaspora

Nick// Just found this old clip on Youtube. How do the Greek fans perform today? Have many left for the plastic A-league or do the Greek clubs still attract big crowds? -
I remember reading a post about the Greek teams in Australia by one of the posters that was very interesting. Therefore, I got the idea to make a topic dedicated to all the Greek teams in the diaspora. We can both bring up news concerning the teams or we can just share the clubs' Facebook links in order for them to get more likes, followers etc. I'm not sure about the criteria but I guess the clubs must have a Greek history and must be operated by Greeks. Here's some Swedish clubs: Akropolis IF - they are currently playing in "gamma ethiniki", where they finished 2nd after a Kurdish team last year. They went to play-off but unfortunately lost both the even games. History: the club was established in 1968 by the Greek society of Stockholm. Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/akropolis.if/?fref=ts Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/akropolisif/ Apollon Solna: Established in 2009. As you can see by looking at their badge, they are co-operating with Apollon Kalamaria. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Apollon-Solna-FK-404391006411137/?fref=ts Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/apollonfk/ IF Alexander den store (Sport Association Alexander the Great): Not many Greek players in the team but it's operated by the Greek Society of Helsingborg. As Apollon, they don't have a professional team and they play in the lowest division. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/IfAlexanderDenStore/?fref=ts Be sure to like them and show them your support! Don't forget to post if you know any teams in the diaspora! :D

Yup, too bad. He's surely one of the most promising players in the squad, but I kind of feel that he will continue to struggle with his injuries and then end up in a mid-table team in a few years. Let's hope he stays fit when he's back from his injury!
