like you guys say, they are only highlights but Henrique looks good. Defs something to work with there. He won't be cup tied either (Europa league) which is good news
As for Prijovic, he is a risk. 2 million for a striker that hasnt exactly set the world alight in a weaker league is gonna be a risk. Let's hope he comes good, because for that money you'd want him to be able to produce.
In terms of Prijovic playing in the Europa league, I believe he'll be able to. As he has played in the Champions league and I think a player is allowed to transfer from a UCL to a Europa league team and not be cup tied? I maybe wrong -
apparently a deal is basically done for Pedro Henrique, around 1mil to Rennes.
Looking at his stats, only 4 starts this season with around 8 off the bench. He is at a good age at least at 26

the pitch looks unplayable, very dangerous for all the players with the ball sticking at certain points due to there being so much water.
didnt we have a game with them last season where the pitch was extremely heavy as well? -

In fact pelka looked off the pace when he came on in that game and turned the ball over a few times.
He scored the winner vs Levediakos last week and he missed a bucket load of chances vs pas on the weekend.
In short he is not starting material for the NT, not yet anyways. Does he have a spot in the squad? perhaps.-

dont mind the expansion, but can't say that im thrilled with drawn matches going straight to pens. Although nothing is confirmed, ive read that even knockout games that end in a draw will go directly to a shoot-out. Not the way football is, especially knockout tournaments. Draws are part of the game. It's like they are trying to make it more appealing to the non-football fan?
I would think the world cup has a big enough following/revenue as it is, no need to drastically alter the game to attract more fans/sponsors.

i just saw the highlights. and let me say wow. I agree 100% with everyone we need a striker, and have needed one for 18 months. Pererya was our last competent striker in his first and this season for some reason he rides the bench until the last 5 mins.
BUT what happened last night was insane, pasxalakis (pas keeper) was amazingly good. Combine that with some poor finishing at times (pelka) and some bad luck and it happens. Last night was just a freak game.
In saying all that in all games where we have dropped points (except maybe vs PAO) we have missed a bucket load of chances, the problem is obvious for anyone to see. Except for Ivan apparently.
If Savvidi actually did start screaming at Ivic, Glyko, canias and klaus it just shows how little he knows about football. If he saw the game, and has watched us this season he would know what he has to do. The team is 100 better than last year except for one spot. -
not so sure about the winners mentality, publicly perhaps but apparently the reason he has been banished from us because leading into the fiorentina game he was saying to the other players and some staff there is no way we can win in Italy. And this was coming from one of the most senior players on the team and our vice captain. Not the kind of thing you want any player saying let alone someone with his standing in the squad.

Started and scored the second goal in a 0-2 win for Benfica last night. Apparently he was involved in the build up for the first goal as well.
Starting to find his scoring form again -
his stats across his career are impressive, goals to games ratio. At a good age so wouldn't mind him. But before anything happens with Leonardo, Rodrigues needs to leave.
For the love of god can they sign a striker. We've needed one for the past 18 months. -
since joining he has made 13 appearances, not sure if he's been a starter or off the bench. Karlsruche sit just above the drop zone.
With the ethniki struggling for wingers thought it was worth a look to see what mavria has been up to, this season. Don't think he's been called up since Skibbe took over but maybe someone to consider given we are playing full backs and dekaria out wide.
Still only 22 (will be 23 next month) so has time on his side, but admittedly playing for a club struggling to for survival in divi 2 of germany isn't ideal for his ethniki hopes.
In saying that diamantakos gets called up playing at the same team, so maybe Skibbe is just anti-wingers? -
we are being liked to the Cypriot striker Sotirou from APOEL. I know he scored a couple of goals in the europa league but can't say I've ever seen him play. Anyone know what kind of striker he is?
