About time you showed your face.  You've gone missing.

Regarding Klaus I agree 100%.  A bench/depth/roation player.  Unable to play as lone front man.  Might be useful if you play with 2 up front where he is the "weaker" forward and and he could maybe find some space, but as the stand alone forward, just not up to it.  Maybe he could become our Paolo Virdis.

My laptop has died, so I've struggled to get online over the last few months. I'll do my best to hang around and brighten up the forum :D

  2. really knit picking there blackhawk. Klaus is not and has not been starting XI material for years, maybe his whole career. With the huge turnover in players we see every season, he is one of the few that have survived. He is now the captain and club's poster boy, making it near impossible to drop him/sell him. They have sort of backed themselves into a corner regarding Klaus.

I've said for years now if we are serious he should at best be a sub, a depth player and even then its debatable. He can score, he's a poacher but its been proven time and time again over his career, in big games against top defences (especially in Europe) he goes missing.

In saying that he is entitiled to a life, so he hung back after a loss in Athens big deal. As Pash said, should he have thrown himself off the Acropolis because we lost? I can assure you a couple of hours after the game all the boys where laughing and joking with each other again, the difference is there are no photos of those guys floating around on social media.

  3. Have to agree with playing Xolebas at left back. He does not have the dribble or the skill to beat a defender one on one. He, like most modern day full-backs are better when they are overlapping.
I recall seeing many left backs being played on the wing and not having the same influence.

I don't think we will have any problems here, I see a comfortable win. Given where we are coming from though, id be content with a 2-0 win.

  4. Tell you what some tricky teams all the way down. Pot 1 will be tough whoever we get, the only one that seems some-what easy is Plzen.
We could cop a group with Zenit/Kransdor (We know is tricky) or Mainz or feyernoord from pot 2

Sassuolo, Qabala as we know are tricky from pot 4. Even Hapoel who knocked out olympiako and really pushed celtic will be tough.

In saying all that fingers crossed for a good draw, I think we have our best team in a while and should be aiming to get out of the groups at least

  5. I would be keeping Kace as depth tbh
about a month ago we had far too many players in center mid and now we are starting to look a little thin if you ask me. Also given our poor track record with injuries I feel we are playing with fire.

Keep Kace. have Cimirot/Canas as your starters, Xarisi next in line and then you have Kace for cover. Assuming we play some games with a no.10 as well (biserwar/pelka/mysta) then I think we should be okay with the 4 of them

  6. This s%$#! just gets better and better every year.
I've said it before, I know longer watch Greek football for the football, I watch it for the drama.

i don't even know what needs to be done, its all just a big mess. I hope the greek teams dont get booted out of Europe.

  7. WOW! talk about calling a bluff!! can't see any of the 3 teams doing that tbh.

I agree epo needs alot of cleaning but lets see if these 3 put there money where there mouth is. I'm sick of empty threats coming from these guys, time to nut up or shut up. Take action if you believe it will result in change. Realistically Greek football can't survive without PAOK, PAO and AEK. So who will blink first?

  8. im not buying that someone is offering us nearly 1 million for Sabo

We have been linked to Vittek, the 34 year old Slovak striker. That seems like a signing of seasons gone by, not at all in keeping with our signings this year. Need to look elsewhere if we actually want to improve on what we currently have in attack

  9. wow can't believe this happened 3 years ago, seems like a lifetime ago.
shame for him he was showing promise, probably a combination of that incident and not being able to take the next step led to his demise. After all he moved to italy and lasted all of one season.

Anyone know what hes doing now? According to wiki he hasn't played at a professional team since Levadiakos at the end of the 14-15 season. still only 23

  10. Looking back on the highlights, it hurts so much more. How did we not get through. Ajax created zero we had some glorious chances. Its been a while since ive see us out play a team at European level (Brondby last year but Brondby is no ajax) We really should have been in the champions league play-offs. Even half chances like the cimirot one where his touch just got away from him and his shot gets blocked. Tzavella's free kick, a little more height and a touch more bend and its in. Let alone Klaus chances. But thats football I guess, luck wasn't with us on 3-4 occasions and we copped a nice suckerpunch.

Hoping for a really good year in the league and a decent run in the Europa. We have the team to do it, if you add a striker who knows... Axx re paokara, this ones gonna hurt for a while

  11. soft penalty but he was pulling his shirt. The ref has been terrible, would have he had the balls to call that "penalty" against Ajax for us.

Need to keep our heads, still 50-50 they are very beatable and we will have chances. If we had a striker who was actually a footballer this game would be over already. but anyways, a big 2nd half gia tin prokrisi
