  1. It looks like the coach is taking my advice: Also according to reports Warda has been giving 110% at practice and is impressing the coaching staff.
  2. According to Italian media, Giusepe Bellusci is heading our way. 27 year old CB from Leeds. TransferMArket has him worth a $2M transfer with highest worth at around $3M. Reading this article doesn't give me much confidance in the guy, but he wouldn't be the first to come to Greece and resurrect his career:
  3. Probably the same way Olympiakos got rid of all their penalties from the Platanias match. So, according to reports, it seems the big 4 (Oly, PAO, AEK and PAOK) have agreed to eliminate the play-offs altogether. Not sure what that means for this season, if it has to go to a league wide vote or what....but that's a step in the right direction. Eliminating 2 teams from the SL is step 2 to getting the league on track.
  4. I think with this squad a 4-2-3-1 type of set up would probably work best. Prijo up front, Mak, Biseswar and Campos/Henrique behind that, Cimirot/Kace and Canas/Sakhov behind them and the usual characters in the back.
  5. Leveque looks like a solid pickup so far. Biseswar and Kace had good games. Henrique seems like a disappointment, Campos did OK.
  6. There goes Matos being a hot head again...
  7. The announcer just confirmed what I was thinking. Kace is good match there with Biseswar, to cover his ass when he needs to get back in a defensive position. Lots of mistakes on our side of the midfield.
  8. We need another top notch defender and a midfielder and we're on our way.
  9. Natcho's name floating around is a pretty exciting prospect. That guy brings our midfield and attacks to a whole new level....and with Mak and Prijo up front, I think we'd see some great ball being played. Who do you guys think of a lineup like this: ---------------------------------Rei--------------------------------- -------Matos-------------Crespo------------Varella------- Campos---Cimirot--Natcho--Sakhov--Biseswar -----------------------Mak-----------Prijovic---------------------- I know Biseswar's fitness (as of last year) doesn't make him a great candidate for a 3-5-2 formation in that position, but if Sakhov or Cimirot are set to pick up the slack on defense it may be a solid option.....also, if Natcho doesn't come, then putting Biseswar in the center slot and having Pelka or Henrique there could work...
  10. I think 7.... They denied the appeal, right? That's basically the entire first half of the season. I don't expect Oly to have a bad season like last year, so it depends on us.
  11. Malezas is still rumored to be on the way out, so maybe that's playing a role in his absence.
  12. To be fair, there was a lot of experimenting happening today, and lots of youngsters getting a chance.
  13. Yeah, he's with the team as we speak....Forza released footage of his arrival.
  14. assist for Klaus, Goal Henrique
  15. can't believe he missed that..
  16. Hopefully he gets back to his old form and better...IS the Live Stream working for anyone? It says 10,000 watching, but isn't streaming anything yet.
  17. Its been said that Stano likes to play a 4-4-2 with 2 CF, I think Prijo and Mak will be excellent together, and will compliment each others style beautifully (if he comes) We still need a Goalie, at LEAST 1 more stopper and some midfield solutions ONLY if they are significantly better than what we already have.
  18. TransferMarket has this guys worth at $800K. I'm not familiar with this player, but hopefully he has potential.
  19. This year is huge for the future of our league. We need all the teams in Europe to have some good showings and accumulate some points to get us back up in the rankings. I'll be cheering for all the Greek teams in Europe this year.
  20. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH That's a good one, BH...... After further thought, I don't hate the choice....I'm just sick of every time we get a new coach and you look at their resume, they have a list of 10 teams, with 1 year at each. I don't want a fly-by-night coach, who's track record shows no experience in developing a team. That's a legitimate reason for the "grinia". Some smart guy said "Insanity is doing the same thing every day and expecting a different outcome."
  21. Wow...Unbelievably underwhelmed by this garbage pick. I hope I'm wrong but this guy has the most unimpressive resume I've seen in a while. I'd rather we rehired Aggelo, or even Beretta, lol. How the fvck do you expect to be taken seriously when you say you want the championship with garbage moves like this? I see the next 2 years going down the drain....like the last 5.
  22. I don't see Ivic going to Olympiakos....stranger things have happened but I seriously doubt it. Owners/Management need to choose it's next steps very wisely. If they think they can tame the beast that is PAOKs "lao" with a cup, they're sadly mistaken. The clock is ticking, and there is no solid solution in sight, just random names being spread every day with no real truth backing them. If there isn't any solid choice for coach made by weeks end, I see another year of last minute scrambling for players.
  23. He was reportedly offered $600K/year (double his previous salary) and turned it down. If he felt he was worth more and gets it, more power to him. If we don't have a new coach and at least 2 new signings by the time the teams heads over for training, you can flush another season down the drain. Also, Savvidis Jr posted a cryptic message on Instagram about sinking a ship to get rid of the rats, or something like that, that assumed to be aimed towards Ivic. That kid really needs to stop posting on Instagram....he just looks like an idiot sometimes.
  24. So, in an interesting Love Triangle (according to rumors) the coach Olympiacos was interested in, Miroslav Djukic just signed on with Partizan which is the seat that was assumed Ivic would slide into after his departure from PAOK.
