With Mystakidi coming back, and if El Kaddouri is an actual 10ari, Biseswar has done decent on the wing before....if Vierinha IS in the plans, makes total sense financially and scheme-wise.

5 years ago our squad was: Goal keepers: Glykos/Indeje Defenders: Lino (Matos pretty even), Schildenfeld (Better than Crespo/Varella), Katsikas (on par with Crespo/Varella), Stafylidis(WAY better than LEovac), Konstandinidis Midfielders: Garcia (Better than Sakhov), Vukic, Kace, Fotakis, Katsouranis Wingers/Forward: Georgiadis, Salpi, Klaus (18-23 goals a year Klaus, not the recent Klaus, lets see what Prijo does this full season) Have we REALLY improved? Besides MAYBE the wingers? ...and even that, we had just gotten rid of Vierinha who was way better then than any winger we have now. Don't mistake Payroll for Quality.

I had more pride in PAOK with $15 Million in debt, a crappy website, a 2nd rate boutique, and bad dressing rooms. The team and players had passion. If you believe PAOK was anything more than a stepping stone and doorway for other MUCH larger investments, and nothing else, you're fooling yourself. If some rich guy remodelled you bathroom and kitchen and paid your mortgage for a year, but then bangs your wife and laughs at you with his friends, will you be grateful?

We've been paying mediocre players healthy salaries. Guys like Henrique, Campos, Sakhov, Varella, Pelkas, and Leovac play with no passion most of the time... I understand that we had grabbed some players that SHOULD have performed better than they did (Martens, Maduro to name a few) but 1 or 2 is bad luck....15-20 of them over the past 5 years is sheer incompetence. I also understand that it's a business, and you can't just dump $50 Million on signings without having a clear payday in sight, but unless you drop cash, you won't reach those goals regardless. I don't think Savvidis is incompetent, I just think he's indifferent. He gives PAOK just enough to keep the crowds quiet, and have glimmers of hope, but hasn't taken the team to the next level. Olympiakios is playing against Barcelona and Juventus and I'm willing to bet that they'll put up a respectable fight. AEK spent less on players this year than I did on my last trip to Disney, and yet they're going to the group stages. They went up against Club Brugge, and jammed a triballo up their a$$....The real question is why are our players so complacent? It can't just be the coaches....we've had 10 in the last 5 years. It can't just be the players...our roster has been torn apart and put back together pretty much every year....There need to be answers. I was always glad to have Savvidis come in...he paid the debt and stabalized the team financially....but I'll take that $15M in debt back, and have guys like Conceisao, Vierinha, Garcia, Contreras, Ivic, Muslimovic....even Cirillo. Who played with passion. Who gave it their all. We re they good enough to get a championship? I think they deserved at least one in that 4 year span....but the level of "Who gives a fvck" with the recent squads is unacceptable. If we're gonna be in 4th and 5th place in the league, we can easily do that with a mostly Greek roster at 25% of the payroll (Like AEK)

I think Sakhov and Cimirot need to go ASAP. I don't give a s%$#! what anyone says, those 2 are worthless. The 1 in every 3 matches that Cimirot has a good match, and that's usually just because he runs around like an animal helping out the defense. I remember watching the Garcia-Vitolo combo, THAT is how you do it. Not like these 2 clowns who can;t string together 2 passes, or even control the ball with one touch....Prijovic had a very Klaus-like appearance today. Basically invisible.

Seeing as how they can't just sit back and park the bus in this match, needing at least 2 goals to even stand a chance, they're gonna play more open, and we should be able to take full advatage and score a quick 1st goal.

Games like this and the one against Levadiakos should be won even if we don't show up but this IS PAOK after all....so who knows.

A re PAOK....no matter who the coach...no matter who the player....you just cant seal the deal with these small teams.

I want the win in this one... We need to accumulate as many points as possible for Greece's ranking. I think we just squeaked by Switzerlad, and Austria and Czech Republic (who each only have 3 teams still in competition vs our 4) are within reach.

Ugh, that sucks....I need to get Slingbox for my box at home so I can watch nova at work and iPad...
