  1. With 30 in the defense.... he'd make me looks like I was in sync with Cristiano Ronaldo.... To paidi den mporei... ta idia kai ta idia leme kathe proetimasia.... den paei allo... euxaristo 30 alla mexri edw....
  2. Staikos is with the Newn team at the Euros.. He started yesterday Newman will be loaned out to Fostira from what I heard
  3. Is he really our 3rd keeper officially? We have a lot of up and coming keepers... Tampakis... Kotsaris... Anagnostopoulos... Gekas Tampakis is rumored to go for free (shame he was rumored to be better than Kapino a few yrs ago) Gekas is rumored to be loaned out to Fostira (was there last season and barely got games, but he hsould get games this year) Kotsaris is the most promising out of the bunch (Ethinki keeper) but its rumored that he will be set free too Anagnostopulos is the least known out of the bunch, but Anatsious seems to be wacking off to him... Would really love to see one of these youngsters be given the nod over Kotsoli during cup games
  4. I'll be the tiebreaker... ;) One topic... Pre-seaon 2015... games, injuries and major happenings go into it
  5. Pretty unproffessional of essien if u ask me Latest reports are saying he is extremely unfit and will not be in adequate shape to compete for the CL qualifiers... Maybe only 50-60 mins......
  6. To be honest I think this is pretty irresponsible of our club.... We have the highest paid player in the league but NO WHERE NEAR the highest budget of the league.... this guy's salary is a LARGELY SIGNIFICANT portion of our budget and we have invested a lot into 1 player... Teams built around this model tend to fail... teams built around many players tend to excel b/c of the homogeneity of the squad.... I've said it once, I"ll say it again.... paying Essien, an over the hill player who is looking to make a last second payday, crazy money when you have up and coming players like Lagos, Karelis, Klwnaridis, Donis who are paid peanuts is a WRONG way to go... causes disruption and discension amongst players I feel like the harmony and atmopshere of our team is what separates our team from the rest of the league... talent wise we are good, but not great.... but the way some of these players click with each other b/c of the bond that is established in the lockerroom is what puts us to the next level I hope that doesn't disappear by bringing all these crazy paid foreigners (Sanchez, Essien)
  7. Nope b/c all of that was full of hot air He wouldn't dare pull out of europe or CL... The club has invested too much in the team to make bold moves like that.... Now he'll look like he has egg on his face
  8. Nope... Leoforos... http://www.leoforos.gr/football/story/84021/etoimazetai-gia-tin-ollandia
  9. And there you have it boys.... CL Qualifiers for us...... Don't expect ANYTHING to be done for AT LEAST 3-4 months....
  10. Looks like he might have come injured.... He'll undergo a special training program to protect his body for the next week or so
  11. The government has bigger problems than kicking out Greek teams of football dude.... They gotta worry about being ousted of Europe all together and putting food on their table..... I honestly believe things will continue as is.... the only difference is we might see things a little "cleaner" b/c owners would really need to sit and think before participating in any of these activities Let's just focus on the qualifiers for now...
  12. Stayed at my parents home tonight and a sports talkshow popped up on TV.. discussing the recent events.... They pretty much echoed what I have been saying for the past couple days 1) Marinakis being "ousted of football" is an absolute crock... He can go behind the scenes and still pull the strings as long as he is majority shareholder 2) Nothing will happen to olympiakos b/c EPO has not formally complained to UEFA about the issue (this is the major difference between the Turkish events and us) 3) Not much will change in regards to cleaning up the scene... there will still be bought refs/match fixing.. however owners will now be smarter and also be a lot more cautious before partaking in these activities 4) PAO, PAOK and AEK are all full of hot air in regards to pulling out of the league... All these clubs have paid or will pay a s%$#! ton of money... they will not risk their investment by not participating in the league... They are just poor excuses for scare tactics.... could you imagine Essien's reaction if that happens... he'd be asking for the release clause in his contract 5) Another scandal will be breaking within the next 3 days regarding 20 million euros...
  13. will be joining in the coming days
  14. Well looks like fatboy had a press conference and seems like everything is full speed ahead... fatboy is still president (yet he's banned from football) and majority shareholder of the club Olympiakos is still on the books for CL Transfers were delayed b/c their TD, Issa, screwed up talks with many people (whether or not this was a cover story remains to be seen) Doesn't seem like being "banned from football" means much nowadays....
  15. Nike wasn't giving us much money and for some reason nike doesn't like to advertise in Greece.... Adidas signed with Olympiakos b/c they have more exposure and they "technically" have a larger fan base... not to mention, there is no one to petition for us... Pateras somehow managed to wrangle Adidas to sign with us for 5 yrs during his reign
  16. I like it.. simple clean... can pretty much wear it anywhere
  17. Here it is.. now all sites are reporting it.. http://www.sport24.gr/football/ChampionsLeague/prasino-fws-apo-thn-drs-gia-olympiako-atromhto-kai-astera-tripolhs.3536159.html I hear u guys and completely agree with u but this is greece we are talking about.. We have a court order banning this guy from soccer and 2 hRs later he is claiming his presidency
  18. Latest reports coming out are relaying that olympiakos is not implicated in any of this. .. They will retain their champs league spot Astera and atromito who are also involved in match fixing accusations will also be competing in europe without hitch
  19. Well the fact of the matter is... If Olympiakos as a club get punished.. the n technically they should be dropped to B' ethniki at least... That should put a whole stop to everything they do... 1) Even in B ethniki, I dont' think a foreign coach (even a relatively uknonwn guy) would want to go to Greece 2nd division 2) It seemed as though there was a firesale going on about 2 weeks ago.... Roberto, Kasami, Dourmaz, Mouzouaku.. etc.. but now more reports are coming out saying that they are staying.... which may imply that they will not be dropped nor barred from Euro comp 3) If they go down a division, then I doubt they would be throwing names like Berbatov or whatever.... not to say that Berbatov is a world killer, but players who come wit hefty price tags are not needed for 2nd divsion football As for Fatman trying to conduct business as usual... I still don't think you go out and publicily announce that you will RUN THINGS AS PRESIDENT once you got a penalty BARRING YOU FROM SOCCER RELATED ACTIVITIES There is something going on that we don't know about... Anyway, lets hope for Accor's good news to shed more light on the situation.... The only way justice will be served if for: 1) Fatman to face JAIL time 2) Olyampikos to be stripped of Euro competition AND be relegated 3) All of the front offices of Olympiakos be locked up as well Then and ONLY then will you send a message that the system is DEAD
  20. He was talking about the Eurozone re Anyway... bottom line is Marinaki got a "punishment" that doesn't seem to have done much aside from paying a large sum of cash... keeps him in Greece 2 days out of the month.. and "removed" him from his presidential duties, yet he's still able to own the team, fund the team and is claiming to be the active president Even if he was to step down Accor, do you honestly think Marinakis would allow one of his lackey's to run the business all on his own?? The guy will buy another Kineziko cellphone and call the shots from there Not only that but, the CL stuff seems 50-50... some sites are reporting that we have a good chance for UEFA to ban them for 1-2 years... other respectiable sites (contra) are pointing out major differences from our case to Fener's case... I guess a few more days and we'll find out where this goes.... I'm going to be carrying a small basket for this one though... Olympiakos does not seem worried about their situation for some reason.. they did initially as they haven't selected a coach yet, no players were signed (aside from Giannotas which was known 6 months ago) but now seems like things are moving along... coach is supposedly coming with 1-2 signings within the next week They don't seem like a team who is afraid to lose 20 million of cash revenue in the next few days..... again time will tell
  21. Wow didn't see this coming.... pretty sad if you ask me.... I'm pretty sure he could get a gig in the SL but he might think he's above that....
