At the age of 68 Enrique Castro Gonzalez died. Most of us will know him as Quini. He was the five time Pichichi of the Primera Division, scored 8 goals in 35 matches for the Spanish National Team (including 1 goal in a friendly against Greece) and the winner in the 1981-1982 final of the UEFA Cup Winners Cup for Barcelona.
He also was a newsitem for being kidnapped for 25 days.
Quini died after a heart attack. Gijon honored him one day after his death with renaming the stadium of Sporting Gijon to Estadio El Molinon Enrique Castro “Quini”.
