Dutch Eagle

Come on PAOK! Let's start with a decent win!

Was not expecting Kagawa. Esiti and Lyratzis are the two who have been cut from the squad.

A 2-1 win today against Niki Volou in Souroti. Goals Antonis Gaitanidis (15') and Georgios Koulouris (83').

Tzolis for the first time in the starting lineup in the Premier League. Norwich plays away at Arsenal.

John Michael and Veniamin Symeonidis represented Greece in the PDC World Cup of Darts. This is not an individual tournament but countries playing each other. Still with the same format. Starting with 501 and ending with a double. First player A of country X throws three darts, then player A of country Y, then player B of country X, then player B of country Y, then again player A of country X etc. till there is a finish with a double. Greece lost 5-2 to Belgium. ?

Michael Constantine died on August 31 at the age of 94. He played the role of grumpy Gus Portokalos in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. He also won an Emmy in his earlier years. RIP mr Windex!

Anyone knows if we can purchase our homegames this season?

Great win. She now faces 18 years old revelation Emma Raducanu from GB.

What a great win! Bravo, Maria!

Kick off today is at 17:45 EEST. Vrakas can shake hands with Pablo ?

We were bad according to the reports I saw. We won 0-1 after a foul on Biseswar. Kagawa scored the penalty at 69'.

Giannis Masouras is the next Greek heading to the Netherlands. He will play on a loanbase for one year at Sparta (Rotterdam) in the Eredivisie. Sparta by the way do also play in red and white stripes, though Sparta wear black shorts.

Composer (and a lot more) Mikis Theodorakis died today at the age of 96(!).

At last: it's official. He joins Celtic. Signed for 5 years. Was sold for 2,5 mio € + 15% resale. He was bought for 200K and some resale from AEK. So they have a profit from this transfer too.

Just saw Grammatikopoulou hails from Kilkis!!!!

I will send you a PM, Rob.

PAOK will play Zilina of Slovakia in round 1 of the UEFA Youth League. Games to be played Sep. 29 and Oct. 20. First match in Greece. If they advance they will face the winner of APOEL vs Kairat Almaty (Kazakhstan). First match also in Greece. First leg Nov. 3, the return Nov. 24.

You can relax, buddy. Perez signed at Elche.

Next opponent for Tsitsipas is Adrian Mannarino (France). Grammatikopoulou faces #15 seed Elise Mertens (Belgium) in R2.

Argyris Kambetsis joins Willem II on a loanbase from Panathinaikos including a buyout clause. So we have another Greek in the Netherlands.

Another year. New chances. And we have a third Greek participant: Valentini Grammatikopoulou. She is unseeded and faces fellow unseeded Anna Blinkova from Russia in R1. #17 seed Maria Sakkari meets Marta Kostuum from Ukraine. Stefanos Tsitsipas, the #3 seed, meets good old Andy Murray.

Limnios has thrown away a year of his career last year at 1. FC Köln. And he has not impressed at FC Twente yet. I hope he will step up during the season or even during these days with the boys of the Ethniki.

A must win!

John van 't Schip has the luxury of playing a friendly before it gets serious, where other coaches have just one or two days after this weekend's matches to be ready on September 1st. Hope this game is usefull for the qualifiers.
