Apparently all of Ivic's aides were told to pack up their stuff and leave, and that Michel is busy looking for an experienced replacement. Just hope we don't end up with another tourist like Huub Stevens.
I believe that too. And the longer Olympiakos goes without announcing a new coach, I would not be surprised to see him ending in Piraeus. Don't forget Ivic's brother is closely affiliated with Olympiakos.
Personally I think it will be a mistake if we let him go, but if he himself does not want to stay, there is no reason to beg him to stay. Hopefully Michel has already picked a replacement.
Brkic should be let go. Also we need to go and get top notch goalkeeper, who will be our number one for few years. Let Glykos recover from his injury and then he can replace Siabanis as the backup goalie. It will be a while before Glykos gets back to the top form like he was the last season, and I really doubt that he will ever fully recover. In other words we need to go and get a number one goalie.
According to rumors we already accepted that offer and sold Cimirot to Bremen for 5 mil. I believe that Sarajevo also hold 15% of resale value, so we will not be getting the full 5 mil.
I don't think that is the reason. They (POK) would actually welcome trouble at Toumba.
The whole has little to do with the game. It's all politics and the fact that Ivan Savvidis is trying to become an economic force in Greece getting a piece of the pie that is controlled by a bunch families that have been running the country for decades. As long as he limited his investment in Thessaloniki and northern Greece he was tolerated (the last 5 years). Once he started to get his sights on media holdings in Athens (ie. TV license, control of MEGA Channel) the war has started. You even saw the enemies (Alafouzois & Marinakis & Melissanidis) sticking together to fight the threat from Savvidis.
They are not kidding. On top of that AEK only got 3 games without fans and no point deductions. Yes AEK whose fans started the trouble.
There was a reason why the fine announcement was delayed until the game with Panathinaikos finished, and it has very little to do with what happened at Volos.
pash you realize the Lucescu in question is Mircea Lucescu, the 72 year old ex-Zenith, Shakhtar, Besiktas, Galatasaray, Inter Milan Reggina, Dinamo Bukurest coach and not his son that coached Xanthi.
The team that finishes 2nd during regular season usually does not win the playoffs.
Today the blame is clearly on Ivic. Things were going his way in the game and he blew it.
We end up playing in the 3rd round of Europa League. Most like would have ended up in EL even if we made Cl qualifying.
We will be among the seeded teams. Fist leg July 27, second leg August 3rd.
Brkic did not lose the game. It was the attitude of the coach and the team as a whole. Twice you have the lead and you manage to lose the game. Pathetic.
