That's not really the case. They have 18 full international games, including Euro qualifying games under their belt. They have 1 win against Malta and draws against Liechtenstein and Estonia.

On Saturday we play Doxa Drama away. 20:00 GR kick-off tiem. PAOKtsaki and Olympic medalist Korakaki will be honored by PAOK, Doxa Drama, and the city of Drama.

The transfer period is officially over in Greece. There is a window for free players until September10.
- We signed Thiam on loan basis from Juventus with buyout option. He's an attacking winger.
- As a result, Jairo is being loaned to PAS Giannina
- Antonis is loaned to Veroia
- Skondras refused do go to Platanias, and still remains on PAOK's payroll, but will not see any playing action.
- Chatziisaias was close to go on loan to Steaua along a 1 mil buyout option, but at the last minute Becali said he does not want the player. I have a feeling it a way for him getting back at PAOK for the Varela deal.
-Tziolis turned down all the offers he had and informed PAOK that he is staying on the team. remains to be seen if he gets any playing time.
So, in the end we did not get a center forward as rumored. That's too bad. There is no incentive for Klaus to try harder to improve. Also there will be a lot of PAOK fans disappointed. Let the whining begin.

Mame Baba Thiam is supposed to be in Thessaloniki tomorrow to complete the deal. As a result Jairo will be shipped out, most likely to Giannna.

Joking aside, Platanias had a decent team last season. Skondras should be a good fit for them.
Rayo is asking for 6 mil for Miku. If I was Michel I would tell them to go screw themselves. Rayo saw that we are getting 6 mil from the Lucas transfer, and they want to get their dirty hands on that money.

The first license has apparently been awarded. Speculations and rumors say that it has been won by (Alter Ego) Marinakis. According tot rules of the bidding process no information is going to be released until the whole process is completed, so once again we are witnessing the bourdello that the Greek society is.
I don't think any of the channels will close. Some of the losers will probably be absorbed by the license winners. For example if Savvidis wins one of the license, he will need the technical means and employees to start broadcasting. The easiest way is to acquire an existing broadcaster. MEGA comes to mind.
The losers also have the options to apply for a regional license later on

Apparently we are after 2 players. One center forward and one winger.
Players Michel is after are Alvaro Vasquez (Getafe) and Tiam on loan from Juventus. Plan B if one of them does not work out is Miku from Rayo.
All of these are just rumors, so there might be other surprises.

If we are serious and show up to play we can qualify from this group. I was reading few Czech sites today and they are all confident that they (Liberec) can advance. They are more worried about Qarabag than PAOK. If I was Ivic I would worry more about Qarabag than Liberec as well.
I think our schedule is favorable. If we can get a good result against Fiorentina at Toumba and then go to Czech Republic and beat them we will be in good shape. Then we play Qarabag twice and if we can get 4 points at minimum, we should be through.
I am not worried about Fiorentina. We always show up against tough opponents. Even last season, we beat and tied Borussia Dortmund, but managed not to defeat either Qabala or Krasnodar.
