Kontonis, the Undersecretary of Sports, closed Gate 4 for the pitch invasion against Olympiakos in the cup last season. He did the same to Gate 13 in the past. Stupid move, since those fans just go to different gates during the ban. How about just catching the trouble makers and banning them from the games?

Football League officially kicks-off this weekend. ERT3 will televise selected games each match day.
-
1:0 final. Huanderson MVP of the game.
-
Cimirot in for Canas
-
That must have been the easiest save by Huanderson on Rodrigues.
-
Another big save by Wanderson on Biseswar.
-
Biseswar is having a good 2nd half, but nothing to show for it.
-
Cross bar by Klaus
-
I just muted the audio and get one audio stream, but it's 1 minute behind the video.
-
Looks like Kitsiou in for Leovac and Varela in for Malezas.
-
I predict a red for a PAOK player. We are playing Olympiakos next week after all.
Good save by Glykos at the end to go with a lead into the dressing room.
Dissapointing that we did not finish them off in first half.

-
Shots 11:0 in out favor.
yes, Wanderson saved two certain goals.
-
I don't believe what we are missing.
-
Red card to Saramantas. Iraklis with 10 men.
-
Klaus could have had 2 goals by now.
-
Let's get a couple more before the half.

Looks like the game will be played in an improved pitch at Toumba. Apparently during the 15 day break they did some work on the pitch:

Citing various issues concerning how EPO operated, FIFA has decided to assign an interim committee to run day to day issues at EPO. This interim committee will supposedly be in place until elections for a new EPO president are held. It should be noted elections were to be held on October 26, 2016, but were cancelled after legal actions by Viktoras Mitropoulos.
Here is the announcement by FIFA:

In my opinion this action is too little, too late.
-
I would hope he has learned his lesson by now.

I am pretty sure the grannies will come to Toumba on Sunday to destroy the game. They will park the bus and commit endless fouls to disrupt our game. If we get a goal early I predict a blowout. let's not forget they have no offense. All their forwards are either injured or red carded. Also they don't have Velios anymore.
If I was Ivic my priorities would be:
- on Sunday score early and often and then rest players
- on Thursday rest some important players (even leave them in Thessaloniki) and try for the best. Tie is not a bad result.
- Throw everything against Olympiakos
My ideal lineup for this Sunday:
----------------- Glykos ---------------
Matos - Varela - Crespo - Leovac
-- Canas -- Biseswar -- Cimirot --
-- Campos - Klaus - Rodrigues -- -

Viktoras Mitrepoulos used to be the President of EPAE, the organization running 2nd Division (these days Football League). Before that he was the president of Aigaleo and Karditsa. These days he is behind the Imerisia newspaper.
He is also the brother of Thomas Mitropoulos who was president of Aigaleo in 2002 during the game fixing scandal. That's when Thomas Mitropoulos was heard on tape saying: "F*** everybody else as long as Olympiakos and Aigaleo win", when he tried to influence referee assignments.
Viktoras tried couple times to become the EPO president, but failed against Gagatsis amd Pilavios. I think with this legal action he is trying to somehow once again get involved with EPO. I am almost certain that his move was also backed by the faction supported by Olympiakos and was certain to lose the EPO elections that were going to be held on October 26.
