To sum things up: AEK wins the game on paper 3:0 PAOK gets deducted 3 points this season and 2 points next season PAOK to play three games without fans PAOK is fined 30,000 Euro Michel gets punished with 90 day ban from the stadium and 15,00o0 Euro fine Ivan Savvidis is punished with a 3-year ban and 100,000 Euro fine PAOK will appeal the decision. I hope they take it all the way to CAS (including the Olympiakos game) knowing very well that we will lose. My prediction is that on the appeal the Savvidis and maybe Michel bans will be reduced. They might even reduce the 2 point deduction for next season. That's about it. The three disgraced refs will sit out for couple months, but will be available next season to serve their masters. Of all the robbed titles in Greek soccer history this is the biggest one. For the first time in history it is where two teams joined hands together to prevent one team from contending for the title.

Now that the fate of this game has been decided let's have a closure ...
-
It's not final.

The final decision has been announced by EPO concerning this game. The third level o appeals has turned down PAOK's wish to have the game played, and it has also turned down Olympiakos's wish to have points deduct from PAOK. Basically the second level of appeals decision stands. Olympiakos wins the game on paper, and PAOK pays a fine for the roll of paper being thrown on the field. Standings following this decisions are 1. AEK 54 2. Olympiakos 53 3. PAOK 52 Olympiakos still faces 3 points deduction for the Olympiakos - AEK game. PAOK and AEK still face point deductions for the game that never finished.

FIFA can go F*** themselves. The most crooked organizations of them all. All of a sudden they discovered problems in Greek football. Just announce the GREXIT and so everyone can be happy.
-
Yeah two countries that are in the World Cup and we are NOT.

Pelkas is in the starting lineup.

Apparently we will play friendlies against Iran and Saudi Arabia. Most likely in June. This will be our first ever game against Iran.

Limnios scored in the 3:0 win against Czech Republic today. Koulouris played as well. Later today Greece plays Egypt. Let's see if Pelkas plays. Warda and Shikabala are in the Egyptian squad but probably will not start.

It's been 11 days since the hearing and still no decision. Apparently they are now waiting until Tsipras ends his visit to Thessaloniki on Wednesday.

Superleague resumes this weekend. Like if nothing has happened. All the problems were solved during this time and we will see a top notch competition from now on. Can someone tell me what the table standings in the Superleague are right now? What a joke.

Yes back in 2010. I was stuck at a gas station on I-94 in North Dakota (west of Bismarck). I stopped at the gas station to get gas and while there the sirens went off and the police closed the expressway. We had to wait until they re-opened it. We could see the funnel cloud in the distance. It missed us by several miles.

Exactly Eagle. The rules in the books call for relegation. Same rules applied to Iraklis last season. All of a sudden AEK wanted to change the rules in mid-season. Sure AEK and Olympiakos voted for the change. POK united since 1929. What a joke.

These are the games that PAOK players will miss due to accumulation of yellow cards: Pelkas - Panionios (Round 27), Xanthi (Round 28) Mauricio - Panionios (Round 27) Matos - Xanthi (Round 28)

Rumors are that PAOK will offer Lucescu a new contract until 2021, including a 30% raise, which will pay him around 600K per season.

Looks like Superleague will resume this weekend. What remains is 5 rounds of football to decide who will win the "paper title" this season. In other news there was a vote at Superleague to change the rules concerning teams that do not get a license for next season. As it currently stands the team that does not get a license is relegated to Football League. The vote today tried to change the rule in the middle of the season to allow the teams to avoid relegation. This was broaught up before the league by AEK and was supposedly a move to save Panathinaikos from being relegated. In order for the measure to pass it had to pass by a 3/4 margin. The vote was 7:6 in favor of changing the rule and did not pass.

The Marinakis and the 3 tons of heroin case will drag on for years and in the end the charges will be dropped. This case involves people at high level including politicians and media owners. With all these scandals in Greece in the past have you ever seen any of those people go to jail?

There are enough of us from Macedonia in the Chicago area that the Pan-Macedonian Association held their annual convention here in the past. As for Roumeliotes, what area of Chicago did you grow up in? My wife's parents are both from Roumeli and they lived on the south side (Hegwisch), which seemed to have quite a sizable population from that region of Greece.

Novasport has announced that it has reached individual agreements with 8 Superleague teams for the next season concerning television rights for their home games. They are: AEK Asteras Tripolis Larisa Levadeiakos OFI Olympiakos Panionios PAS Giannina PAOK -
Final decision about this game will apparently be announced next Wednesday. During today's appeal PAOK asked that the game be played as scheduled. Olympiakos on the other hand asked that PAOK receive an addition 3 point deduction from the standings.

Piraeus prosecutor Eirini Tziva has charged Olympiakos and Nottingham Forrest owner Evaggelos Marinakis and three additional people with possession, distribution, and financing of a criminal organization concerning the Noor One drug smuggling case. Noor One is the ship that was intercepted by Greek police and which carries 2.3 tons of heroin. Since that interception 8 witnesses that were held mysteriously died while being held in prison. As part of the indictment, Marinakis is barred from leaving the country, but reports are that he is presently in England. This news broke about 3 hours ago, and has yet to be reported by the mainstream media in Greece. That is the same media that went into frenzy when Savvidis stepped on the field during the AEK game.
