I believe it was sciatic nerve problem, or a negotiating tactic for a new contract.
-
Misic and Swiderski are coming to Salonica today. We might have announcements tomorrow. Misic appears to be a Shakhov type player. Not sure if he is really needed since Lucescu wants Shakhov to stay. Apparently we were going for Idrissa Doumbia, but he signed with Sporting Lisbon for 3 mil and we resorted to Misic whom Sporting is letting go. El Kaddouri said that he wants to return to Italy, but it all depends on PAOK. There is apparently a preliminary deal between Parma and the player for loan until the end of the season and then a mandatory buyout resulting 3.5 year deal.

Lets's not forget that the topic title includes the word "rumors". Some of the figures being thrown around could very well be pure bullshit. To throw another one in the mix. I just heard that Glykos is leaving PAOK.

Cracks me every time I watch this video:

I think Khacheridi and his 1.2 mil salary is the cause of the problem. If I was Varela I would demand a lot more as well. Maybe not triple, but for sure more than Khacheridi is making. The Khacheridi transfer should have never happened.
-
They also want 1 mil just for the 6 month loan. For that money I would not even be discussing with the Wolves. Apparently PAOK is already looking elsewhere. Today there was a meeting involving George, our new TD, Michel and Goncharova to discuss transfers. They also discussed contract renewals and apparently Biseswar is close to re-signing for 2 more seasons. Crespo is close to signing but his agent demands that PAOK pay him a transfer bonus, which Savfvidis is refusing to pay. Also we are offering to double Varela's salary, but he is demanding a triple raise. Rumors are also that he has a very good offer from England.

No. I vaguely remember 2 years ago saying "Prijovic who? How much?"

Reports are that he will be on loan for the rest of the season, which will cost PAOK 1 mil. There will be a buyout clause, but the figure I read makes no sense (to me anyway). If you wonder why we are pursuing Bonatini, it's because our current TD is the one that brought him to Europe from Brazil.

Den mporo na perimeno. Thanks for catching it.

At this point just sell Warda outright. If not now than in the summer as Athens points out. It's obvious that he will not play for PAOK anymore. At least not under Lucescu, who gave him numerous 2nd chances. Looks like he will be part of the Giannoulis swap. As for Koulouris, it's one thing playing at Atromitos and another at PAOK. At PAOK he will not be a starter.
-
Big win! We now have 3 home games before we play AEX. Must win all three.
-
That was no penalty. The ball hit his chest first.
-
That was stupid move by Matos
-
The score should be 5:1 Tripoli. Our midfield and defense are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Paschalakis MVP. Only positive player besides him Biseswar, who also scored a clear goal. As for the refs the Tzilos beating is showing its results.
-
It appears Canas is injured and will most likely miss the game. Obviously Shakhov will take his place. Let's just hope that him and/or Mauricio don't get injured. My lineup: ------------------ Paschalakis --------------- Matos - Varela - Crespo - Vieirinha -------- Mauricio -------- Shakhov ------- Jaba --------- Pelkas --------- Biseswar --------------------- Akpom -------------------
-
I too think Warda is the one that will be sold. I also like the return of Henrique. Th other thing that worries me is that we have not re-signed Varela, Crespo and Biseswar. From what I understand Varela is very unhappy with this situation.
-
pash I think the team will go for a short term solution (Berg), because of the title race. The youngsters (Akpom, etc.) are long term projects that might not work out.
-
Could be but at the prospect of not getting anything since in 6 month he can sign for free anywhere, PAOK can work it out with Panathinaikos (such as giving them Mystkidis, Kace etc.). There is no way PAOK will pay 5 mil to Panat6hinaikos. From reports that I heard, the supposed "greek team" clause expired after 2 years. Also it is reported that Al Ain wants 1 mil for the player, and Berg to get a salary of 1.3 mil per season. So at the end we could spend 2.3 to 3 mil plus any possible deal with Panathinaikos (player/cash) to get Berg.
-
I doubt there is a 5 mil release clause for Berg. I think that's just wishful thinking by Panathinaikos.
