PAE PAOK announced that the remaining 3 games in Holland will be televised lived and for free on PAOK TV. They also announced that Alexis Spyropoulos will be calling the games.
-
Kurtic will be signed for 2-year loan. Strangely his contract with Parma ends at the end of the loan, so I don't understand why we did not just buy him. Probably has to do with taxes.
-
Warda will be back at practices tomorrow. I switched PAOK TV off at half time to do other things and apparently I missed a circus show by the game announcer Stavros Kolkas. Somehow they forgot that the sound was still on and all of the Kolkas's conversations were aired live on the air. During his talk he went on a personal criticism crusade against several PAOK players, including Pereira, Esiti, and Lambrou. He came out on Facebook offering apologies, but the damage has been done. From what I hear he will not be calling the remaining PAOK games on PAOK TV.

Apparently 2 track & field and 1 sailing athlete tested positive for COVID and there is a chance that they might miss the Olympics.
-
I really don't like bringing all these over 30 years old players. We should be going for younger and more athletic players.
-
Final score 1:0. Slightly better in second half.
-
All PAOK player from 1st half replaced by Lucescu with the start of the 2nd half. Zivkovic Z. (46. Paschalakis), Taylor (46. Lyratzis), Varela (46. Mihaj), Michailidis (46. Crespo), Pereyra (46. Rodrigo), Esiti (46. Schwab), El Kaddouri (46.Ninua), Zivkovic A. (46. Murg), Kagawa (46. Vrakas), Lambrou (46. Tzolis), Swiderski (46. Oliveira) Heavy rain from the start of 2nd half making things difficult for both teams.

PSV - PAOK 1:0 halftime PSV clearly better and ready for the upcoming season. PAOK is not. Slow reactions by PAOK players, many careless mistakes. Score could easily be 3:0 if not for Zivkovic saves and crossbar. Wish we had a player such as Zahavi on our team.
-
1:0 PSV after Zivkovic made 3 great saves.
-
PAOK is completely unprepared to play in a game like this at this point. PSV all over us.
-
Apparently we agreed with Parma to loan midfielder Jasmin Kurtic with option to buy. Reports are it's a done deal. In other rumors Swiderski was renewed for 3 more years, but the news comes from Metrosport which I don't trust at all.
-
Biseswar was pathetic, and I don't see him securing a spot at PAOK when he gets back. Having said that though I think he was one of the better Surinam players. At least in the 2nd half that I saw. If he wants to have any chance to compete for PAOK he will need to shed some kilograms as well.

Warda will be loaned out by the end of August.

Our entry in the Mountain Bike competition has changed. Originally Dimitris Antoniadis was going to represent Greece, but a runoff race between Antoniadis and Periklis Ilias was arranged with the winner getting the spot in the Olympics. Ilias defeated Antoniadis in the race and he is the one going to Tokyo. In weightlifting Theodoros Iakovidis has qualified for the 96 kg competition after the whole team of Colombia was disqualified for doping, which pushed Iakovidis into qualifying position. There is a chance that gymnast Argyro Afrati might receive an invitation to compete in Tokyo.

Jamaica - Surinam youtube link: With 15 minutes left it's 2:0 Jamaica. Biseswar started the game.

2021-2022 Superleague 1/Greek Cup TV coverage
Blackhawk replied to Blackhawk's topic in TV, Radio, Video, Gaming & Media
Apparently COSMOTE is in negotiations with AEK, Panathinaikos, OFI, Lamia, Volos, Panaitolikos, Apollon and Ionikos for their TV rights for next season. They are willing to pay 6.5 mil Euro to AEK and PAO, and 1.3 mil Euro to the other 6 teams. This would leave Olympiakos, PAOK and Tripoli without a TV contract. -
In case of Iraklis it was.
-
"O" Aris was punished with 6 point deduction from next season for forging a signature on transfer paperwork. They will appeal. There appears to be a diplomatic incident developing in Piraeus. Greek customs refused the COVID test paperwork for Galatasaray squad that is coming to Greece for tomorrow's friendly with Olympiakos. The Turks are very mad and are trying to politicize the issue.
-
Augusto cut from the Brazilian Olympic Team after sustaining injury. He returns to Holland to train with PAOK. Biseswar should be a starter for Surinam in tonight's CONCACAF Gold Cup game against Jamaica. The game is available on Youtube as well as several US cable/satellite channels (TUDN, Fox Sports, etc.)
-
The PSV Eindhoven friendly will be televised in Holland by Ziggo Sport 14 and Ziggo Sport Select. For the rest of the world probably on PAOK TV or OPEN TV.
-
The current situation concerning the Superleague 1 TV rights for the upcoming season is as follows: SUPERLEAGUE 1 - DOMESTIC TV RIGHTS - GREECE & CYPRUS Novasports: Aris Thessaloniki, Atromitos Athens, PAS Giannina Without TV contract: AEK Athens, Apollon Smyrnis, Asteras Tripolis, Ionikos Nikais, NFC Volos, OFI, Olympiakos Piraeus, Panaitolikos Agrinio, Panathinaikos Athens, PAOK Thessaloniki, PAS Lamia,

You mean we would pay money for the player we own? Don't think we are that stupid. Anyway he is staying in Brazil until the end of the loan.
-
10 team, including PAOK voted against approving the start of the 2021-2022 season because of the TV rights situation. The three teams voting to approve the start of the new season were Olympiakos, Atromitos and PAS Giannina. Aris abstained. The rest voted against. Of the 14 teams only PAS Gianniona, Atromitos and Aris have a TV contract for the upcoming season.

Well who would pay to basically see a training session.
