For these exact reasons, I doubt Tzimas will ever become a starter for us. His potential will be used to justify our sale of Koutsias now, but I just do not see a path where he stays with the squad and actually gets minutes. Expect two new strikers next season, assuming Thomas's option is not picked up. It's a real shame!

Oliveira is also sitting this game out, due to injury. I would guess Tzimas will be called up as backup for Thomas, if he's not already training with the big boy team... Oliveira really needs a rest anyway, imo... Hopefully it is not a serious injury

Lyratzis re-injured himself in his first game back, and was going to be out for another month I think (so any time now). Michailidis had a much more severe injury and I believe has been getting some minutes with the B team.

This is a prime example of why the people "behind the scenes" are so incredibly important - a well-run team would not have room for this kind of nonsense. I believe PAOK's board is mostly made up of those kinds of people; folks who can take a step back and assess situations more dispassionately. For similar reasons, Lucescu's descent into name calling these last few months worries me. It sets a bad tone for the entire team, which the morons in the fan base will just further amplify. As for Doukas - I would not be surprised that he's like that, considering how many of his sound bites are reported by the fan sites as some sort of "gotcha" against our opponents. Is he right? Yeah probably. I'm on his side, after all. But how about we let the nonsense come from the 20-year-olds instead?

Surely something like this would be written up in the ref's report? Bizarre. Instead, that guy pretending to be killed by the firecracker (while the ref's assistant who was standing practically at his shoulder didn't even flinch) will result in us getting a heavy punishment. Which is not to say we should accept that our fans act like f***ing morons. it's shameful.
