Unsurprisingly, the side looks so much better when Berbatov, Klaus, and Tziolis are not in the lineup. I hope Savvidis (and the new TD) are actually paying attention.
Our next match after this is vs Panthrakikos, on March 5th. The Olympiakos Cup match is between these two games, on the 2nd.
It seems that reds carry over from competitions, so we definitely can't afford to lose any more players in our last match before the cup. Which will have extra importance, since we're going to get absolutely slammed by cards here. My vote would be to lean towards expendable players.
Well, this escalated quickly. I'd agree that CR7 is more complete. Messi might have slightly more talent, but Ronaldo is physically an absolute monster. And I don't even like him.
I would suggest that these posts get broken out and put into a new Messi vs Ronaldo topic.
Leicester would be insane to sell Vardy, and if they did they'd need someone who could actually step into that role. Mitroglou simply does not have the pace to reproduce what Vardy has done.
Reminds me of that old Robin Williams line about Lance Armstrong. "It's chemotherapy, you a**hole!" In that not all drugs are performance-enhancing.
Loses a lot of its impact in retrospect, of course...
Might have to play him anyway now that Charisis is (once again!) unavailabile. Although it's more likely Tziolis will get a start, I feel. Would be a real kick in the pants if Antonis begins to start over him, too.
The point we got from this match brings us to 35, tied with Panionios for 4th. We are 11 behind AEK, who would start the playoffs with a two-point advantage over us. PAO would start with one point.
And that's game. Here's a list of our cards:
Cimirot, yellow
Malezas, yellow
Charisis, red (two yellows)
Pelkas, yellow
Chatziisaias, yellow
Kitsiou, yellow
