  1. We're still linked with Franco Soldano, an Argentine center forward. He's scored 6 goals in 12 games this season. Good age, but pricey (and I know nothing about his playing style). https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/franco-soldano/profil/spieler/358212 Here's a highlights video:
  2. Klaus was sold for $0 and for a small percentage of his resale rights. Since his team reportedly wants to give him away for free too, we are unlikely to see any $$$ out of this deal.
  3. Pelkas is every bit as effective on the wing as he is centrally. Fetfa offers nothing that we don't already have. And if Gianniotas is Fetfatzidis 2.0, then why waste your time with the old version? Unless you're saying he's just as worthless, which means you agree with me?
  4. Blackhawk, is there some sort of seeding for the QF?
  5. I would imagine any loan that happens for the player would be 1.5 years at this point. There's no way he's going to get playing time this season.
  6. Wow, Lamia absolutely slammed PAO in their cup game, with a 4-1 win. This match was played under some less than ideal conditions, (I thought it was going to be called off).
  7. Uh, just from the players that were called up in the last game, I'd say Lazaros, Fortounis, Pelkas, and Gianniotas are all better than him. Frankly, Stafylidis being played out of position as a winger is also more effective than Fetfatzidis.
  8. Adding exclamation points does not prove a point. Fetfatzidis is exactly at the level he was destined to be.
  9. There's more to the performance than the number of goals that are scored. Prijovic is a big presence up front for us. Compared to Klaus, he holds up the ball well, is a better dribbler, and a better passer. And perhaps most importantly - he BELIEVES in himself. He made an impact yesterday.
  10. PAOK is appealing Mak's suspension, so there's a SMALL chance he'll be available for this game. I'd assume by this point. Vieirinha will be available as well. Odds that this game will be played without fans?
  11. Jesus, hope he's all right. That looked awful.
  12. And now I'm reading that the Israelis are saying Klaus might be exchanged for Leovac? Are you kidding me?
  13. Haha yeah he sure is. And apparently they want him gone so bad it'll be a free transfer. Stick a fork in him, he's done.
  14. Is the only point of this thread just to keep repeating the same tired argument? We know exactly why Fetfatzidis plays where he does. He's too lazy and undisciplined to cut it in a competitive league. There's a reason why every coach he had at Oly kept him on the bench...and why he flopped at Genoa (and Chievo).
  15. Platanias interested in Siampanis during this transfer window
  16. My biggest problem with the kit is that each time they'd be along the opposite touch line, they'd blend into the advertisements. Kept thinking they were passing to nobody. I agree. Something tells me that playing him up front will yield a completely different, better player.
  17. Some thoughts: Biseswar looked out of sorts, but improved in the last 20 or 30 minutes. I'm pretty sure it's just the amount of time he's been out. Rey looked shaky on all of the set pieces from the first half. I think he has a minor confidence issue, though I don't see him regressing. Prijovic possibly our best attacking midfielder today ;) Good movement and individual actions by Pelkas. On the other hand, Limnios was relatively invisible. Campos was a bit better when he came on. Malezas and Varela very solid. No complaints there. Varela should sit out the return leg for Poungouras. Matos is obviously the man of the match. Deligiannidis may have made a mistake, but nobody starts out a fully formed player. He needs more time, and these are exactly the kinds of games where he should be given them. He recently said his "natural" position is right back (funny considering I thought he was a left winger); Lucescu should absolutely play him there in the home leg against Trikala. Matos needs rest and shouldn't be risked in these low threat games. I know Blackhawk will disagree with him, but I've seen some improvement by Koulouris in recent games as far as as his off the ball movement and passing is concerned. Still somewhat missing as a target man, which should be his greatest strength. And a BIG shout out to our fans, who are trying their best to harm our team.
  18. Goal Shakhov, 1-5! Mistakidis not really hurt, just has a cut near his eye. So glad to see him return.
  19. I'd pull Prijo off and put Mistakidis in as a second striker. Make it happen Lucescu!
  20. Jesus, four shots (and two goals) by Matos. Nearly just had his third. Definitely our best winger.
