Interesting, somehow the agent seemed to omit that from his interview hahaha If the bonus is the issue, Varela can put an end to the debate at his leisure...
-
Ingason seems very good so I'm not terribly worried, but this would mean we need to splurge even more for the necessary depth. Kacheridi (and presumably Malezas) will be gone next year. I want to see more of Mihojevic, but he would still be our fourth option. We really need three people competing for two places...
-
Gotta eat yo sh1t pie, baby We'll be fine. No player is irreplaceable. The fact of the matter is, every player we have will always be disliked by people on forums; it's literally why we exist.

Varela's contract negotiations have stalled per his agent. PAOK apparently isn't willing to meet his requirement for duration. Koulouris scouted by Aberdeen (who cannot possibly afford him) and Lampard's Derby County (who probably can). And your random instagram account roundup (these are probably the least reliable but still fun to read): Ben Woodburn, a 19 year old winger from Liverpool <-- hahaha Stafylidis <-- because of course Ponce <-- good player, but pointless signing, even if we sell Koulouris Samaris <-- he'd never play for us

Guess it depends on how Lucescu wants to handle the match. Was it someone in this forum that was saying Giannoulis' biggest weakness is his defensive issues? If it's that big of a problem, then we could see Crespo there...I actually think Ingason won't have a problem being thrown in. Maybe it's just me, though, but it looks like Crespo doesn't have the speed he used to - is it worthwhile to lose out on that offensive capability for a game where we want to score? Personally, I'd keep the young guy in. Getting this ready for you:

Yup. As far as the cost is concerned - not sure how the summer signings were covered by Prijo's sale as they happened six months before? Long story short, Savvidis seems to like spending his money. Also wouldn't be surprised if we make a few sales this summer as well. Didn't realize Staf would be a free agent, but as he's recently back in Augsburg's good graces, he may find himself with a better offer this summer. We'll see how it plays out, but personally I think he'd be a great (re)signing. Vieirinha is huge but we have the firepower to smack down any team in the league, including in the cup final. Assuming we make it that far, in four games we'll be done and summer can begin. It's been a loooong season.

One rumor I saw on the 'ole instagram was that we were going for three higher-priced signings - a RB that would be at least as good as Matos, a midfielder (though it was not clear to me if this is in addition to Oliveira, or possibly him), and a winger. It seems we may need a LB at this time as well. Finding someone comfortable on both sides would probably be the solution for our fullback situation. I like Giannoulis and think he is a good long-term situation on that side (though I'm sure most people here would disagree). But to have no backup/competition for him until December would be madness. Keep in mind Wernbloom should be back in June. He'll doubtlessly miss the first qualifiers, but hopefully he'll be ready for the last matchup.

Did someone say summer Staf signing?
-
GOD DAMN IT
-
I agree, Jaba needs to come on. Overdue at this point
-
They pointed out the ice is on the back side. Though if it's actually on the back of the knee, that doesn't really mean the situation is better. Let's hope for a minor muscle injury.
-
From what I'm seeing (22nd minute) it seems Vieirinha will have to come off sooner than later
-
Another chance by Pelkas. We're starting to pick up the pace -edit- I might be a few minutes behind you Blackhawk haha
-
I'm on the hunt. Bianconero has this posted on their chat, but hasn't started yet so I can't confirm it works: https://www.vipleague.lc/1-ael-larissa-vs-paok-live-streaming -edit- this one works for now: http://live.harleyquinnwidget.net/streamvideo12/paok-live-stream-3-4901993.html

Good lineup, let's gooo!
-
Sounds like El Kaddouri is out for the season as well.
-
Was there any actual talk about Henrique being renewed? I know I mentioned it a few times but it was really just me hoping. I don't think I've seen anything at all about it (though I would sign him again in a heartbeat).
-
You've gotta be kidding me...El Kaddouri is also questionable for this game. So assuming Jaba, El Kaddouri, Biseswar, and Henrique are not available, we're looking at the below (still very strong) lineup: --Pashalakis-- --Matos--Varela--Crespo--Giannoulis-- --Shakhov--Oliveira-- --Limnios--Pelkas--Vieirinha-- --Swidersky-- Might see Karelis make the squad again, after all.
-
That's a real sh1tty loss. At least he'll be there for the celebration. 3-4 weeks from what I read
-
I'm just listing out a hypothetical. Regardless of how new his extension is, if a big dog comes sniffing this summer (or next winter), the option would be on the table - as unlikely as it is. However, doesn't what you write about Pelkas only further reinforce my point? Are there any hot young #10 prospects in Greece soccer these days? I say just bring Deligiannidis back damn it.
-
NOOOOO TO BERG! OH PLEASE GOD NO! We really don't need him; Akpom and Swidersky will only get better as they have more time with the team. I think we do need to get a new winger, particularly if we lose Henrique, El Kaddouri, and possibly Jaba. That's a lot of churn, even if we do bring back Lamprou.
-
If our fans show up to this match, what are the potential punishments?
-
That's the kind of move you make if Biseswar or Pelkas leaves in the summer, IMO. I think most of the time, buyouts do not get activated. And they certainly don't stop a player from causing trouble if they *want* to leave. However, there are some other circumstances where they create value: it signals your intent to the player that they are valued and you intend to give them time to participate it signals to other teams that the player is not for sale, which is certainly a lie - it is actually a statement that you will not give them away for essentially nothing, which ultimately gives you leverage over both the player and perspective suitors
-
Random instagram fan site says that we're planning on adding a buyout clause for Lamprou's rumored contract extension in the amount of 10mm EUR. Meanwhile, I saw some other site mention Bouzoukis's price is now 3mm + a player. Get outta here

Canas seems to have sprained his quad. Seems minor and fortunately we have plenty of depth in that position. I'm not going to claim a conspiracy, though!
