Our guys are getting completely outmuscled
-
Stream now down ? Still on the hunt! -edit- here's another!
-
Terrible quality:
-
Starting lineup:
-
InPAOK claiming the price for Oliveira is 7mm. If that's their demand right now, it may go down even more. He's on his last year's contract, after all.
-
I didn't realize it wouldn't be streamed internationally...hopefully someone will pirate/mirror that. If anyone gets a link please post it! Have fun my sweet Eagle!
-
Great opportunity for Olympiakos to do something sketchy at the last possible second to steal the league.
-
Looks like we'll start our season at home vs Panaitolikos. I believe the draw is going on right this moment but I'd rather gouge my own eyes out than watch it.
-
https://inpaok.com/575892/o-protos-stochos-tou-fereira/ Since when did Lucescu's PAOK have a...slow tempo? Feels like a feel-good fluff piece but whatever. Time will tell I guess.
-
Word has it Ferreira's first request is Oliveira ? -edit- okay yup I think it's gonna happen
-
Tosca is now officially free. Wouldn't be surprised to see us pick him up now.
-
Very true! Unrelated, finally announced: Media team continues to kick ass. -edit- contract for 4 years
-
I'd rather they get into the best team they can (and SL will also be better than B' Ethniki). But I do agree that overseas would be best. As long as the rules are applied to all the teams, I'm fine with whatever. Until that happens, no reason to handicap ourselves.
-
Gotta spend money to make big dick moves like this. Looks like he's bringing 5 dudes with him, in addition toAlexandros Maniatoglou (Santos's old translator/assistant), who will be moving back to PAOK take up those duties for Ferreira.
-
Pretty crafty terms, if true: https://inpaok.com/575484/apistefti-ori-apo-bragka/

Reports of us being interested in Luka Ivanušec, having offered 3mm for the player. I kind of doubt it, but we'll see. https://www.transfermarkt.com/luka-ivanusec/profil/spieler/387105 -edit- just to piss off the Athenian, here's another loan to Xanthi: https://inpaok.com/575496/stin-xanthi-o-gkargkalatzidis/ I'm glad so many of these guys are going to Super League teams (vs second tier ones). Would be nice to see more go overseas, though.

Zisis Hatzistravos (attacking midfielder) may be loaned out to Xanthi for this season. Currently part of our K19 - I think since he was born in December, he may be otherwise eligible to stay with Garcia this year, so it speaks well of him to get the loan.
-
Chatziisaias is going to join preseason as well. I do wonder how many players that are on the chopping block will get another shot. Chatziisaias is going to find it hard to stay in, though. BTW having El Kaddouri in midfield looks good to me, tbh...he played there once or twice last season, and I thought he was just fine there. It really suited him.
-
This is a good point. I remember he once said in an interview "I never ask for specific names." But I also have read what people (here and on other sites) have said in the past few days about how he REALLY wanted to keep Canas and Shakhov. I am fine with both leaving, just as I would have been fine with keeping Shakhov (less so Canas). Over all, he was able to get his players to play for him, which is what made him so effective (and the sheer firepower in the team allowed him to cruise, as you said). With that said, he was extremely conservative with player choice. It is very hard to get him to switch it up, and I think that hurt us a bit. Ferreira will have to use the same system to start (I have heard he prefers a 4-4-2 with two CMs, which is actually the formation I think Lucescu wanted to move us to), and as said above, there should be time to get him another player if he really wants it. As long as he doesn't pull a Stanojevic and lose the confidence of the players, I think he will be fine.

Looks like the team announced it, 2mm to break the contract. He'll meet the team in the morning. Our new team manager is Karypidis btw. Congrats to him as well! I haven't heard word if Garcia becoming an assistant coach but would not be surprised if that happens. -edit- because I can't help myself:
-
Another name is Abel Ferreira, who coaches Braga. Seems a bit young to me. -edit- Daddy Lucescu is saying OF COURSE his son is leaving because we aren't building a team that can compete in the CL. So it seems that Lucescu really was upset with player choices.
-
At first glance I don't mind that choice. Not terribly experienced but a decent enough track record.
-
So he's angry about selling El Kaddouri? A player who really really wants to leave?
-
On a brighter note, our new baby boys have arrived:
-
That's a great question. I do not think we were breaking the bank with him. Blackhawk, his conservative player choices might make that opposition plausible, but then again it could just be sour grapes on the part of whoever reported it. Four million euros is a LOT of money. -edit- teke, to answer the second part of your post, I think we can go pretty high - I believe we paid Huub Stevens over a million. And that was five years ago.
