Very true. Thing is, Braga is exactly the kind of team that over the long term, we can do good business with. They're decent, and will occasionally have a few diamonds in the rough for us to take a look at. It is poor business to needlessly antagonize them further; people have long memories. Unless perhaps we're trying to build a rivalry so that we can get more people interested in our club internationally ?

About time the Berg thing is ended. What a pointless signing that would be. How could we possibly get Fransergio (which is an awesome name)? He's signed through 2022 and we agreed not to buy their players. Do we really need to be going back on our word like this? Also...enough with the Brazilians for God's sake...

That Anderlecht game is gonna be a doozy. I'm assuming they will not allow us to watch it, but Ferreira now has a great opportunity to play his strongest possible team there and see where we really stand. Even a draw against them in a friendly will make me feel a LOT better.

I agree, but we have Augusto and then a gaggle of 20-year-olds that will be back from loan next season. Stacking up this many midfielders when Ferreira allegedly wants a "small" squad makes little sense to me. The Albanians are saying Fiorentina is looking at Kace again, by the way - this would not be the first time this was said; I wish they'd just go and buy him already. PAOK will let him go for cheap, I'm sure. What's interesting to me, is that Ferreira has played him so often - I wonder if he actually wants to keep him? It would be a real kick in the pants for Kace to suddenly get good again. Emanuel Cecchini is another rumored player. Seemed to have flopped at Malaga, he's been loaned back and forth for the past two years. Seems to be squirrely judging by the highlights. So for non-K19 outfield players: Defense: Ingason, Varela, Crespo, Chatziisaias, Mihaj, Giannoulis, Matos, Rodrigo, Deligiannidis Midfield: Wernbloom, Kace, Augusto, Misic, [new DM], [new CM] Offense: Pelkas, Biseswar, El Kaddouri, Stoch, Henrique, Lamprou, Jaba, Limnios, Akpom, Swiderski That's 25, if you include the two new signings. Am I missing anyone? I think Deligiannidis and Kace are going to be cut. I'm not sure about Chatziisaias vs Mihaj - I'm assuming one of those will go, as Ferreira seems to prefer a fullback put into 3-CB formations. Remember that Chatziisaias had interest from the UK as well; I'm sure the team will be happy to move him for a nominal fee. We also went into the offseason anticipating a sale for El Kaddouri, which I hope still happens. I don't think the administration is going to dump Lamprou after the season he had + the new deal he just signed. Much more likely that they'd accept a move away for Henrique (last I heard the Brazilian teams didn't want to actually spend money on him, lulz) If Limnios does get sold, expect Henrique to get re-signed. I think any combination of those wingers we have is a solid lineup. Lots of variety in style there, and apart from Biseswar (and El Kaddouri) they all have fantastic speed. -edit- and yes I saw what you wrote about Wernbloom before blackhawk - who knows how that'll shake out. I hope that he does become available soon; it'll be great to have an overly violent bruiser there as an option at DM.

I wonder if Ferreira's preference for playing the LB up very high will work to Giannoulis's advantage this season. Does need to improve defensively but man does he look good going forward.
