The Misic option expires in the summer so he's ours to lose. You're right, though - midfield is our biggest concern. There is going to have to be a cleanout next summer, even with all these players we only just bought. I'm not too bothered with Koulouris leaving. We didn't have room for him anyway, and now he's happy playing for a shitty team in frogland. Mihaj actually has some interest from Sturm Graz last I heard, but I believe their window closes today. I'm also not sure what kind of player he is, but I agree with my little banana hammock that we need another Crespo, not another Varela.

I think beyond just rotating, that the team's second-string players might see the opportunity to steal a starting role. Many positions are there for the taking, IMO

Pelkas has looked better for months but keeps riding the bench. He needs to be playing. I'll repeat my favorite unpopular refrain: he's our best player I'd get Biseswar off and (of course) put on Lamprou. If we go up 2-0, put Esiti on to help defensively.

Agreed. Not age or one player missing - it's a motivational issue. Ferreira needs to regain their trust.

We do have some other options that will defend - Biseswar is an obvious choice to start on the left, and at least he's not out of shape. But he's maybe our most out-of-form attacking player. Pelkas definitely has the legs to cover the ground on the left side, but I think he's more effective up the middle. It wouldn't be shocking to me to see both start though. Another plus for Augusto - he's faster than Esiti, which can be helpful in the middle.

I'm not convinced Augusto is the better choice in the middle (vs Esiti) but Misic needs to play where he's most effective (and that ain't up top).
