If the game was lost on purpose to make a point it wasn’t only the 3 players involved as only Soctrates played as Monolas and Toro didn’t play so there must have been more players involved that were actually playing...

@Chris Tsamados im with you dude I think there is no way In hell we are beating Finland twice especially in Finland which we’ve never won.. How this team can give anyone optimism with the state that they are in is nuts.. we will finish just ahead of Liechtenstein.. the dressing room is a disaster the team is not a team.. even if we get a new coach there will be a transition period again so to me these euros are done for us..

I don’t think having someone from the 2004 team as a head coach will benefit us at all.. we don’t need someone that is going to try and play the way they played in 2004 the game has changed and we don’t have the personalities now that they had back then.. Today’s game is not about sitting back and absorbing all the pressure as good teams will break you down now a days. We need a new coach that is going to preach ball movement and get some speedboat into the line up. Considering the EPO’s budget is very small for a coach I see us getting another journeyman coach who’s just looking for a pay day..

I disagree for me this took balls by Socrates and Monolas to finally stand up and say something, they don’t have to play for the team they could be enjoying there holidays but they choose to be with the team and if they didn’t care they would keep there mouth shut but instead the want to succeed and it truly hurts them so they take charge and walk into the EPO office and demand change for the better of the team.. Yes Maybe there should be certain things not said in public but Socrates and Monolas said “Many many players came up to them and expressed there concern” so for me I give them credit for giving a s%$#! and demanding change for the better of the team.. This team has only won 14 out of 46 games in the last 5 years since the 2014 World Cup so I’m glad Socrates and Monolas have decided to step up and say something as these number are truly disgusting...

Guys I’ll be honest I don’t know much about the Australian coach what is everyone’s thoughts on this guy? I think I would rather get a foreign coach with some good pedigree but as I read the EPO doesn’t have money to spend on a top rated coach.. It seems to me like we are going to be scratching the bottom of the barrel looking for someone that will come here on the cheap..

@Jimmyp a toxic environment can bring failure to the best teams. having horrible coaches and a corrupt EPO will not bring success to the NT.

This is making more and more sense now... You can just see the disconnect with the players and coach... I've been reading articles that Angelo has been doing this his entire career, he would always play players in new positions where they were not comfortable playing and would always have falling out with players, I also read that he is stubborn as hell and no matter what anyone else says its always his way.. No wonder the players don't want to play for this clown. I've said this in previous posts that the biggest red flag for me was when he first got hired and in his opening press conference he said "He doesn't care about positions and if you're a good player you can play anywhere" This is a bad way to manage a team as you have players who have played there entire carriers in certain positions and then they are asked to play somewhere different and expect them to succeed. This journey man coach needs to go ASAP.

There is no way we can sit here right now and say we can get 2nd bottom line we have a habit the last some years losing to minnows and not making tournaments. We need to be realistic and it's hard for all of us but the truth in the matter is that this team is falling apart there is no trust, no care, no systems, horrible management from the top down. In my mind we will not qualify I'm sick of being disappointed by this team. If come September the team somehow turns it around then great but to be honest we aren't making it in 2020.

Forget these old school coaches we need a younger guy that values skill and will look and play our most skill players, a coach that can build a current and modern system soccer has changed from the years of Otto. Our biggest problem to address is our midfield if we can’t fix that we will never be competitive it’s our biggest downfall..

For me I think this started the minute the coach didn’t call up Toro I think this didn’t sit well with Manolas and Socrates.. I could be wrong but now reading both players want the coach fired makes sense to me..

Wow... Finally Socrates comes out and says it how it is.. He pretty much is telling everyone he doesn't believe in this team.

Looks Like Socrates is done seems he had enough and now he will definitely have a falling out with the coach after this game.. I don't expect to see Socrates on the NT anymore..

We absolutely are in the ark ages.. Just because we missed Mitro and Donis that does not give the team the excuse to concede 9 goals against in its last 4 games. Just sit back and take a look since the last world cup we made the teams we've lost to and the fact that this will now be our 3rd or 4th straight tournament we don't make it. We are getting worse we've never had an offence and now we have one of the worst defence as far as conceding goals.. I'm done getting my hopes up for this team...

Well that was fun boys.. our qualifiers are done after 4 games.. complete overhaul let’s try for the world cup qualifiers now. Another depressing summer next year without a tournament.. garbage team... ?‍♂️

100% we are done.. Septembers games mean nothing anymore.. Come to think about it Italy are good but not a super power Bosnia are beating them in Italy which goes to show you how bad we are. We will end 2nd last just ahead of Liechtenstein when this campaign is all said and done..

4 straight games where we have given up a minimum of 2 goals against us in the first half in the span of under 20 minutes 9 goals against in 4 games in the first half.. we have become minnows and a group D team. This is absolutely shocking how bad we have become.. There is no saving this team guys lets be honest we suck. The F***ed up thing is we are eliminated before September that's how bad we have fallen we cant even stay competitive in a qualifier until the last month...
