Ya it was.. I don’t see JVS reaching to him to be honest.. It seems like JVS Has a stubborn personality and demands a lot from his players, it doesn’t seem like he gives to many 2nd chances.. In saying that what did Manolas actually do to JVS? I think he should have at least reached out and had a conversation with Manolas and let him know what his expectations are if he rejoins the team..

Curious to see what type of line JVS fields knowing 2 wins are a must. If he starts with Bakasetas and Mantalos on the wing then I don’t think he gets it.. Also regarding RB who starts?? If Bakakis is healthy I’m pretty sure that’s who he will go with..

I think people give you a hard time because you come out here taking shots at people like you’re so f***ing superior and you think you know your s%$#!, you make some valid points about players as do other guys on here but that s%$#! goes out the window with your Internet tough guy attitude. You will get your point across better when you’re not taking shots at people For having an opinion or making a mistake tough guy..

that’s what you find hysterically funny you troll because somebody made an error. I know exactly how his name is spelled it’s a f***ing error.

I will agree with you that Fourtonis without the ball looks lackadaisical at times and like he’s not interested. but to be completely honest there’s no comparison between him and Bakasetas.. You needed to win that game against Kosovo you had no business starting Mantolas on the wing and Bakasetas when you needed to score. Also JVS took our most effective and dangerous player off in Liminos when we needed a goal. When Fortounis and Fountas came on you could see the dynamic of the game open up for us and that needs to be a wake up call for JVS. Also seeing Liminos scream at Chatzigovanis To make a run was embarrassing and that should show JVS you can’t just play guys in a position they are not use to playing. I liked the things JVS did at the end of our last campaign but I have to admit I’m getting very frustrated with some of these moves. This is no different of how I felt with every other coach post our last World Cup appearance.. Regarding Manolas, if JVS gave him the impression as per the last article that he’s going to try some young guys and then reach back to him then JVS is at fault, I would rather he be straight up with him and tell him why he won’t call him up rather then lead him on as you can see from the article Manolas is a little bit in shock that JVS has not reached out to him. I don’t agree with Siovas comments but should that mean he’s automatically cut from the team for good? I understand punishing him but to completely cut him I’m not too sure if that’s the right move.. JVS needs to read the game quicker in my opinion, if the game is not going as planned and you need a win then don’t wait until the 75th minute too make changes give the guys some time to do something. I strongly believe if Fourtonis and Fountas along with Liminos were on for the majority of the game against Kosovo then we get the win. JVS still has earned the right to finish this Nations league and barring a complete collapse in our next two games he has earned the right to at least coach the team through the World Cup qualifiers. The main issue I have is we are leaving players out who are desperately needed especially when we face a lot better competition like we will during the World Cup qualifiers..

Copy and pasted from Hellas Football regarding Manolas In a recent interview, Greek national team star Kostas Manolas expressed his disappointment with the situation surrounding Dimitris Siovas. When asked what about his thoughts on Van’t Schip the twenty-nine year old stated he had no comment. The experienced defender delved a bit deeper into his disappointment with the situation surrounding Dimitris Siovas, by asking what would have happened if the other players on the squad made similar comments regarding himself and Sokratis. In regard to the Greek national team itself, Manolas stated that above all he is Greek and has the best interest of the national team at heart. He highlighted the fact that he along with Sokratis and Siovas were key pieces to their club sides as well. Along with this, Manolas stated that Van’t Schip had called him last year to inform him that he would be calling younger players in order to give them a chance. One year on and Manolas has stated that he has not heard back.

This love JVS has with Bakasetas doesn’t make sense.. Any logical coach can see he’s not a starter.

This is a good read and it asks the same questions we do. https://hellasfooty.blogspot.com/2020/10/an-alternate-view-of-ethniki-omada.html?m=1

you can tell Fourtonis is not happy about not starting for the NT.... I don’t blame him he has a valid reason he knows as we all do that he is a much better option then Bakasetas.. I hope JVS breaks up this love he has for Baka soon or I can see Fortounis walking from the NT. https://m.sport24.gr/football/fortoynis-gia-ethniki-den-echo-na-po-kati-den-mporo-na-po-oti-niotho-adikimenos.9022448.html

Starting Bakasetas every game and Mantolas on the wing is a real problem for this team, We have much better options, I understand the frustration people have as even though this is a rebuild we are still not putting the right players in the right situation to succeed. Bakasetas should be a player coming off the bench if he's going to stay on the NT but definitely not a starter as it is deeply hindering our attack. Also the playing guys that have never played RB is causing a real problem for us. I'm not sure why every coach we've had in the last few years continue to play players out of their natural position and then we trash them for not having a good game but the reality is the coach is causing these guys to under perform but not playing them to there strengths. Regarding the upcoming games and finishing first, If we can't beat Moldova then we don't deserve to top this group as there is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for not beating them. I hope Kosovo can take points away from Slovenia which will unsure they don't park the bus and play for the draw. JVS knows the NT has full control of this group, it's basic we win our next two games we win the group.

I agree with you, we have good pieces and the guys you mentioned are heading in the right direction, it’s a young team and it will go through it’s up and downs before they start winning more consistently.. That’s how a rebuild is done.. For people who think the coach is going to snap his fingers and all of all of a sudden this team will be a top 20 team again obviously don’t have the knowledge of what an actual rebuild is.. There’s a learning curve and these young guys are going to lose games in order to learn how to win. Right now it’s important that young talent we value get there feet wet and start playing regularly to gain the experience.. This team will eventually come together and for the people who think changing the coach is the answer obviously haven’t been paying attention as we’ve gone through what 5 or 6 coaches with no change in results.. This coach had the balls to see the team was not going anywhere with the the “original” team so he’s started to rebuild the team which was well overdo.. I still don’t like a lot of his selections and decision making but we need to give him the opportunity for the 2020 World Cup and if they show progress but still don’t make it then that just means the team was not ready yet becasue changing the coach won’t do s%$#! right now for this team..

If we can’t come first in a group with Slovenia, Kosovo, Moldova then we have no chance of qualifying for the World Cup where we will face much better opponents in the qualifiers.. In saying that I’m not going to be negative like a little bitch because even the previous Greek teams with the “stud defenders” were drawing against weaker opponents as well. At least we see flashes of the teams being able to make good plays we just lack a finisher as we always have.. Mitro was the only finisher we had but was a useless player in every other aspect of the game.. I still think this team will win there next two games and top the group.. Some guys on here are just to f***ing much, They wait for the game to be over and they come out with the I told you so attitude like give it a f***ing rest.. The team has potential and is rebuilding and you need to take away the positives of the match and for the most part other then a few minutes of a mental breakdown we controlled the entire game..

That’s what I don’t understand, even when we were at our best and making tournaments all the time we were still playing ugly football, we were beating minnows 1-0 and when we played a mediocre team that had some offence they all stood behind midfield just trying to defend and hope we were lucky enough to catch a team on the counter.. at least JVS has the team playing offence and not parking the bus.. I think some guys need to go back and remind themselves how this team use to win in the past and it wasn’t pretty.. Now we were playing better in our last few euro qualifying games with JVS then we are now I will admit that but I think its a process this rebuilding team needs to go through in order to take that next step.

If you think he’s getting sacked while putting up results right now you are living in a dream world. Yes the call ups are not ideal in some cases I get it..The difference between me and you is I call it as I see it, I’m not a straight up hater, I give the coach credit when it’s warranted and I criticize when I see fit.. You have been hating from the start wether they play good or not.. Homie I don’t see anyone “Hidden” as you say, It’s almost like you want this team to lose just so JVS can get fired so you can some how feel inferior.. I’ve said it from the beginning I may not like the guys call ups but if he’s slowly rebuilding the team and wining at the same time then I’m okay with that even though I do get frustrated with his selections.. But I’ll tell you straight I never liked Skibbes selections and the other 3 coaches before him anyways.. So why don’t you put your ideal line up down here for everyone to see, let’s see what a team of Boxou looks like.. And There’s a difference between someone bashing you and someone Disagreeing with you..

I was also disappointed in his response especially when he said "Mantolas and Bakasetas were here from when I took over the team" So what does that mean? they should be automatic starters just because they were here when he took over the team?? That's a bad way of thinking. He also mentioned that Fortounis is not getting playing time with his club team (so that's why he's not starting) Then why is Staf an automatic starter when he's healthy?? he doesn't play regularly for his club team.. He also wants the old crew gone but yet he invites and plays Tzavellas.. I see a lot of hypocrisy and contradictions. I will praise and defend JVS when he's right but I will also call him out when I think he's wrong. At the end of the day we never agreed with all the coaches selections post our last world cup appearance and that's the frustrating part because I think we all believe here that we still wont reach our full potential as we are not fielding our best possible line up.
