The most important team for us will come out of pot 2.. Chances are who ever comes out of the first pot will take the group so having a weaker team in group 2 is key for us.. Also let’s hope we don’t draw Bosnia again out of pot 4.

Exactly.... If Fortounis is a starter he will 100% be on the wing while Bakasetas who is s%$#! starts in the middle.. This logic makes zero sense..

I don't know who the answer is but unless we can come up with a solid duo at CM we will be limited as to how far this team can go. I like Zeca he hustles and is full energy but him alongside Bouchalakis or Kourbelas are not the answer they are not good enough. This was a huge problem ever since post 2014 world cup and still we don't have a competent duo.

Honestly I just can’t believe in all of Greece we can’t find one natural striker that can score goals on a consistent basis. Also we have reached our ceiling as a team as long as we have a week midfield with Zeca and Kourbelis/Bouchalakis, they are just not good enough and we can only go so far as a good midfield will take you.. This is a real problem for us and I don’t know who's the answer.. We all know Fortounis should be an automatic starter every game and NOT on the wing you need to put him in the middle but JVS is reluctant to play the guy to his strengths.. I almost garuntee if JVS starts two natural wingers like Tzolis or Masouras alongside Liminios then he will sit Fortounis and play Bakasetas in the middle he won’t sit him at all.. He’s living and dying with this guy for some reason and makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.. But until we address our striker and midfield problems I don’t think we can compete with higher tear teams and this is proof once again that we couldn’t top an easy group even though we played well and didn’t lose we are just not good enough to advance past this right now..

Geez we lost out to Hungary in our last Nations league campaign for 2nd and look what they’ve done, They’ve made the Euros via Nations league playoff and now won there Nations league Group B and we couldn’t top group C with Slovenia, Kosovo and Moldova.. ??‍♂️ Hungary Serbia Turkey Russia

Where can we find the list of teams that are in each pot? Are you guys just going by fifa Rankings?

I’m very gutted once again that we didn’t win our group but I understand we are a rebuilding a team and we have shown lots of progress, The teams has a different mindset and they are starting gel and okay the the style JVS wants them to play. I also agree there has been games this campaign we didn’t look good but I think that will come with experience and maturing as a team. The team looks like it’s headed in the right direction and as the English announcer said “This team has looked to turn the corner with JVS In such a quick time. think like anything it will take some time but changing coaches every year will put us back to square one I think. I’m hoping now between the end of the European campaign and this campaign JVS has now seen who he should and shouldn’t be playing.. Let’s see how it plays out in the World Cup qualifiers and let’s hope for a favourable draw on December 7th..

I agree If you are going to bother brining up Tzavellas then that defeats JVS argument that he wants to rebuild with young players and get rid of the old kills, I would rather see Manolas and Siovas on the team rather then Tzavellas.. He is contradicting himself when he does that.. I think against top quality teams they will be needed especially against teams where we barely have the ball past midfield..

I might be alone on here thinking this but I’d like to see JVS take this team to World Cup qualifiers.. I think he deserves a chance. Changing coaches should not be an option right now IMO...

At the end of the day it’s not the coaches fault if in all of Greece there’s not one proven striker, that’s not the coaches fault as this has been our problem for years. We were fortunate to have Mitro A while ago but other then that we have no one.. The coach has the team playing with high energy and looking like a team but once again we don’t have anyone to put the ball in the net and there’s not one coach that can change that.

It’s hard to rate if Slovenia’s defence is that good, I mean who did they beat? Moldova and Kosovo and we already know we have a hard time scoring against the weakest of teams.. They do have a world class goalie but if it was any other team that can score I think they beat them by a couple of goals tonight..

Even if we would have scored against Kosovo and beat them we still would lose the division as we would be behind on goal differential..
