I get what you are saying but how does that explain the 5 goals in total against NI, the 2 against FI and so on? Let's not forget guys we have always had trouble scoring this is NOT something new, the only thing that is new is our goals against and how horrible we've,played defensively. Let's say our offense does get better but the way we are playing defensively stays the same all that means is we will be losing 5-2 against teams like Bosnia and Belgium who can both score at will. FIX THE DEFENCE

This is the exact thing I was saying from the beginning, we need to fix our defense as it has gone to s%$#!. We actually played great offensively we found holes we created and great one touch passing. But the problem that has caused us to miss the Euro is our defense. We have now allowed 6 goals against in 2 games to garbage teams. It is refreshing to see our boys control the ball and finally get rewarded.

^ JVC I agree but not every team that qualifies for major tournaments have guys tearing it up. We don't need guys to tear it up although it would be nice, we need guys to play as a team backed by a solid system. In theory having guys tearing up is ideal but it's not the only way. You can have guys that are good players that play for quality teams that just do there job without "tearing it up" we all would love to have that one superstar that can carry the team but in reality that's not going to happen with us so our only answer is to have players that are skilled enough to to play in a solid system behind a solid coach.

Are you kidding me?? They have no defensive system, they have nobody backing each other up they're easily beat one on one. Look at all the space they give the openings out there, this team does not know how to close the gaps and play unified having each others backs if one guy makes a mistake. They look like lost puppies out there. They are completely out of position all the time. I agree they are not attacking because they can't. They need to become that team that doesn't give the opposition an inch of space, a team that suffocates the other teams players and only takes chances when we have the opportunity. If we don't do that and neglect our defense first mentaility then we will continue to lose against the weakest teams. Look at the match against Colombia we created a lot of chances we hit a few goal posts but we let in 3, look at the game against Finland we dominated the play but once again we conceded a goal We have allowed goals in almost every game and even worse we are allowing 3 goals against in 2 games versus FI, Northern Irleland have scored 5 goals against in 2 games. Are you starting to see a pattern?? I can go on on. Let's take a look at the main issue and get back to boring suffacting defensive soccer as it's the only way we can play.

For everyone out here that wanted to see Greece change there"boring style" of just defending and wanted to see this team open it up and be an attacking team, well you got half of your wish the team surely changed there style. Come on guys the only way for the Greeks to win is everyone collapses back and attacks when we get a chance or of a set piece. This is the only way Greece can play soccer and if you think otherwise you are kidding yourself. We don't have those offensive type of players. Sitting back and defending is our only way to get back to tieing and winning games maybe we don't deserve. If we continue to not play that way then we will continue to see results like tonight or like in the FI games. I'm pretty sure everyone here would be happy with a 1-0 win and some 0-0 draws rather then getting spanked and allowing at least a goal a game and losing to MINNOWS which sadly we have now become.

I agree with Reaper, I don't think any of the Greek players are excited or even looking forward to playing any more games in this campaign. I think even if it's something minor that the players have they will use that as an excuse not to play. The passion and the excitement for putting on that Jersey and playing is evaporating quickly. You will see it again in the NI campaign watch the players body language it will show a lot. We need a coach quick to restore this team and start building trust in his team and players. We all talk s%$#! about our players including myself, but why is that they are performing so much better with there club teams and not performing at all with the NT. example Mitro scoring again Fortounis looks good just to name a few. The reason is because the atmosphere with the NT sucks. Any other campaign this game would be no big deal to us and the worst result for us maybe would have been a disappointing tie but now we look like minnows and NI look like Giants. I'm still so pissed about not getting Shuster and the Epo making it mandatory for the Tsanos to be part of this team I kind of hope we get pumped against NI just to prove a point.
