16 teams would be better. Greece does not posses the teams, finances or stadiums to be able to hold a league with 18/20 teams. You will get 12/16 good/decent teams and then the following 4/8 teams will be garbage with poor teams and cornfield stadiums thus providing easy points for the 12/16 good/decent teams. In an ideal world we would have 14 teams with no play-offs but this is Greece :D

We're looking into the possibility of signing Polish GK Przemyslaw Tyton who is currently at Primera Division side Elche on loan from PSV. His contract at PSV runs out on June 2016, so we are looking to loan him and then possibly sign him on the free transfer if he impresses. At this moment I will take anybody over Anestis. I was thinking ideally that would be a good selection of teams. Aris have a big fan base, would be good fir the league to have them back along with us and Iraklis...and eventually Larissa.It is a shame they missed out but they'll be back.

How exactly is he meant to gain experience at national level if you don't want him included :huh: By your logic we should be starting Katsouranis. It doesnt matter what his form was like last season its what its like this season. 2nd division or not he deserves a chance. You cant assess him on 3 games where the whole team played bad.

@Le Mendel - Have you watched Mantalos play? Or are you just judging him because he played in the Greek 2nd division? It just seems by your critical analysis that you havent really seen him play and dont seem to like him because Ranieri gave him a chance. 23 games, 10 goals, 15 assists is a great record 2nd division or not.

Apparently we have agreed to sign Kyriakos Andreopoulos from Kerkyra. 21 years old defensife midfielder who has apparently impressed, especially in the cup game's vs us back in January. Also plays for the Ethniki U21's. ?150,000 the rumoured fee, and had interest from Asteras, Atromitos and PAOK.

Olympiakos chairman to appear before magistrate in June Olympiakos chairman Vangelis Marinakis has been given until the beginning of June before he is questioned by anti-corruption magistrate Giorgos Andreadis, court source have told Kathimerini. Marinakis is one of 16 people alleged to have cooperated to fix the outcome of Greek soccer matches. He denies the charges. Apart from forming a criminal gang, which is a felony, the list of charges against the suspects consists of serial fraud, bribery and attempted blackmail. The last charge relates to an explosion at a bakery owned by referee Petros Constantineas in 2012. Those charged include three officials from the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO), two members of EPO?s refereeing committee, three referees and two chairmen of Super League soccer clubs. Lambropoulos is nothing special. Kourbelis off Asteras would be a nice choice. But once again is he more DM it seems. 6. Soiledis' cross are woeful man, not one connected i dont think. Terrible player, I'd rather have Karabelas.

A few chances towards the end to equalise, Ntounis with the biggest chance but his short was poor and went wide, should have at least hit the target. Overall it wasnt our best performance this season but I will leave that down to not having played in 20 days. Iraklis were good at the start but were nothing special, there 2nd goal came by mistake and other then a few chances here and there were not that dangerous. We should be them in the reverse game. We shouldnt be running for the hills, our first defeat of the season and in a way a good thing, a reality check for the boys in a way to show a sign of whats to come. Congrats to Iraklis, one of the first teams this season to give us a run for our money.
