Id rather play Galo at LB if we are going to need great crosses for that formation as Soiledis cant cross a finish line. I like all 3 formations, not sure if Vargas will not be used as much tho tbh, think he will be key for us. I lie the first one the most how and ever. The 2nd one will be handy when we are looking to hold out for the lead. And then the 3rd when we are going all out to get the goal.

Cant really be impressed or unimpressed until you see them play IMO, just because theyre not household names doesnt mean they arent good, lets see how they do first before we judge. We are a newly promoted team regardless of us being AEK or not and in Greece, not a very popular destination for footballers at the moment considering the state the country is in and the alegations of corruption in the league all over the media.

I remember him from his days at Malaga but seems to have not settled anywhere, not exactly sure how good he is, I do know he's quite skillful, very very short tho, 5"2, along with Platellas on the wing we would have possibly the shortest wingers in Europe.

A question none of us is able to answer. Who knows but he should be more than capable for the SL. Only question is who does he replace, Kolovetsios or Tzane? I have a feeling it will be the latter.

The fact all this has happened over the last few months about corruption in Greek football and Olympiakos and Marinakis, if nothing was to be done by UEFA it would just show a lack of professionalism on there part and that they can't be relied on.

Yeah i mentioned the fact we could only sign Greek players in another thread, where would Tzane, Kolovets, Mantalos, Bakakis be now if we didnt go down I wonder. I believe our under 20's are pretty good correct me if I am wrong but are they in some sort final? Hopefully we can produce some top quality players, for AEK and for the good of the NT because the current crop are not good enough to lace the Faroe Island players' boots.

There has been too much talk of corruption in football the past few months, its either now or never to start a clean slate. If all the rest of them get charges yet the apparent head of the organisation doesn't then you can forget about it and close up shop.

I can't see us getting another striker unless we sell 1. We currently have Aravidis, Chrisantus, Brecevic, D'Acol (is he still around or was he released?) and now Djebbour. 2 of those (Aravidis & Djebbour) will most likely be getting most of the game time so unless we sell Chrisantus, which I would be against, Brecevic and D'Acol if he is still around, I cant see us getting another striker. Maybe a sub-par one but definitely not a top quality one. As for Djebbour, he is an improvement to anyone that we currently have in that department. Let's not forget we are a newly promoted team in Greece with no European football, its not going to be easy to attract the type of players some people are looking for. I think so far this season we have done VERY well with our signings considering we dont have European football and we are in Greece, a country that has had a lot of bad publicity that past few years both economically and football wise (corruption) therefore not many top quality players are going to want to come to Greece. As for the Greek players in the starting 11, you can begin to start kissing that goodbye. Although we did well the past 2 seasons in that regard, there is simply not enough top quality Greek players around that would make them a better option then going foreign. I think we have done well to get the one we have so far as Kolovetsios, Tzanetopoulos, Bakakis and Mantalos the definitely have the quality to remain in the starting 11 on a regular basis. The rest we will start to see less and less of. Anestis, Soiledis, Petavrakis, Lambropoulos, Platellas, Andreopoulos & Vasilantonopoulos I have not seen play at all so cant critique them however it seems their are 2-3 players ahead of them in their playing positions.

Djebbour is going to sign a 1+1 deal today. From various places I gathered a mixed reaction from fans. One sid ehate his guts for going to the gavrous, which they have every right to. The other side believe he has a real eye for goal and will link up nicely with Aravidis. Orlando Sa signed a new deal with Legia Warsaw.

The players lack passion. Pre-2004 the players we had at our disposal the majority played in Greece, for Greek teams and understood what it meant to play for the Ethniki. The players looked at these competitions as a way to get noticed and to somehow play on a bigger stage such a a european or world competition and to get noticed. Now that some of the players play for medium to big teams across Europe they have lost that. They no longer possess the feeling of passion that their predecessors did when playing for the Ethniki. These lads are the modern Greek magka model wannabes who are afraid to get a piece of mud on their boots. Gone are the days of Dellas, Zagorakis, Basinas, Kapsis, Karagounis, Nikopolidis. These guys had passion, balls. Now we have Tachtsidis, Christodolopoulos, and Mitroglou. Bring in a new coach with fresh new ideas and not some pre-historic creature who cant communicate with the players. Eleos.

All very good targets, definitely need a new starting LB as IMO Soiledi is garbage. Tzanetopoulos and Kolovetsios cant do it all by themselves so to have another 2 CBs will be good and Lambropoulos in the mix too for cover. The rest are also good targets. Now that Dellas' situation is sorted, hopefully the transfers can commence. So far we have added to the squad's debt in the additions of Galo (RB), Simoes (CM), Anderopoulos (CM) Vargas (AM) & Vasilantonopoulos (MF) I predict Brecevic, Petavrakis, Zoric and Rovas to leave.
