I have always stress that any Greek athletes who have a chance at a medal or at least qualify for the finals either in a track or field event should break their own PB or NR to achieve such goals.

As expected, Greece will likely get 1 medal from Stefanidi. What I love to see is athletes like Anastasakis, Papachristou, Tentoglou or Karalis try to qualify for the finals and give a good showing. For the sprinters and hurdler, a semifinals appearance would be great.

If I read this correctly, Anagnostopoulou will get the second wild card because a Brazilian discus thrower is suspended for possible doping offense.

How do athletes drop out of the competition? If they earn the spot, why not go to the World Championship?

It is confirmed that Tatiana Gousin will not be able to participate in Doha as her knee has not fully healed. She will be good to go starting next season in 2020.
-
This competition is way better than the IAAF Continental Cup. European Athletics always comes up with great athletics competitions.
-
Paraskevi Papachristou will not make the trip to Minsk as she is staying in Greece recovering from a intestinal infection.

If Greece finish 3rd, will they go to the playoffs?

Yes sir, I went to that game in Athens. Russia beat us 60-48 in the second round of that game. Russia didn't shot the ball well, yet Greece can't take advantage. -
