Assuming this Vellidis story is the real deal, what does everyone think about this signing ? I don't know much about him. If we signed him, do you think he'd be ahead of Glykos in the pecking order ?

I think the only excuse, whether we buy it or not, is that with the disastrous play-offs at the end of last season, the team was in a state of semi shock and panic. The fact that we had to play EL qualifying games, and early too, meant there wasn't much time to be patient with transfers. Hopefully we won't make that same mistake again.

It burns me to think we signed Olsen for 500K plus his wages are around that for the next 3 or 4 seasons. I can't see us off loading him without taking a big hit financially.

Solid performance, even if we did leave it late to score the first goal. Mystakidis was excellent. Cimirot and Charisis solid again in the middle. If Charisis keeps this up, this kid could be NT material one day. Yeah, I said it. Mak, Jairo, Tzavellas, Vitor good as well. Kitsiou and Leovas a little quiet. Good to see Berbatov on the scoresheet and oh my god, we kept a clean sheet. Might make the score line my computer background.

We've gotten into the box enough times that we should've scored at least one by now. Need to be a bit more clinical with that final touch/pass/shot.

I've never been a fan boy of any particular system. Use what suits your squad, and change according to your opponent. Having said that, the 4-2-3-1 on the weekend gave us lots of width. The right flank with Kitsiou/Jairo and the left with Leovac/Mak worked well. It also meant Jairo/Mak could concentrate on attacking without having to worry so much about their defensive duties since they had a full back behind them. Having said that, Charisis and Cimirot were excellent. I am keen to see them play together in the middle again. Please stay injury free ....
