I think it deserves to be noted that this season has been very exciting so far for the Panatha fans. I was surprised, to be honest, that PAO would or could pass Marseille and have several great Euro games. Today, they beat Villareal--a powerhouse in Spain and Europe. They won the Europa league 2 years ago, and, ok, they're not the same calibre team, but still they are a great team. Last week they scored 3 against Barca. Today they had 1 great chance to score but PAO stopped them while scoring 2 superb goals by Fotara and Sporar. The bottom line is that I see Greek teams actually being competitive agains much bigger clubs. For example, PAO has a budget of $24 mil. and Marseille $240... ten timex bigger. Anyway, let's hope Panatha has a good Euro performance and wins some silverware in Greece.

AEK flew to Brighton & Hove Albion with only one CB and expected by many to get beat easy... We won 3-2 in a super impressive performance!!! I was worried about our defence but I thought Mitoglou and Symanski did a great job! We are now first after Ajax and Marseille drew 3-3!

Did not see the game as I was in the middle of all the Oktoberfest craziness. Followed the game on line but after the first 1 liter the score was a disappointing 1:0. Continued drinking and completely forgot about the game only to find out the final score after I got back to the hotel. Good result and hopefully we can get something out of the home game against Eintracht.

Great game, proves that PAO has a really good team this year! Want to take my son to a game, what's the best way to get tickets? Live in the states.

An addition here: No real points yet as all participants of ECL GS start with 2.5 points regardless what they do in GS. A win is 2 points, a draw 1. So we are at 2.0 points now. Every single point we get from now on WILL increase our tally for this season in the club ranking. Our win however does effect/increase the coefficient of Greece (but with the divider of 5 as Greece started this season with 5 teams and thus 0,4 points (2.0:5))
