Didn't watch the game but saw extended highlights. That performance was ten fold better than anything we've dished up over the last 18 months. Great defense, working together was great to see like the Greece of old. We weren't stunning in attack yet the 2 best chances fell to us with Limnios and Kolouris, needless to say Bakasetas should've done better with his sliced attempt. Games like this you need to take those chances, on another day we are 0-1 or maybe even 0-2 up and it's a completely different game. 2 further things I liked we showed there is life without Sokrati and Manolas. The sun rose and we played well against a superior opponent. I like what Van't Schip is doing, he needs to be backed, this is a rebuild it's not going to happen over night. There is enough there to work with, we have talent what we need is discipline and correct tactics installed. Today was a step in the right direction, let the man work for a while, constantly changing managers isn't going to solve anything. One final thing I'll say is that traditionally these matches suit us better, as in giving up possession, sitting and countering. I feel we still have work to do to be able to comfortably beat the Liechtenstein's, Armenia's of the world. Our attackers work better when they have space we know we aren't a team that can move the ball around unlock a defense. Never the less I'm quite encouraged by that performance and hopeful we back it up against Bosnia and maybe pinch a result.

BAKASETAS IS THE WORST PLAYER TO EVER PUT ON A GREECE JERSEY ...

I remember reading a post about the Greek teams in Australia by one of the posters that was very interesting. Therefore, I got the idea to make a topic dedicated to all the Greek teams in the diaspora. We can both bring up news concerning the teams or we can just share the clubs' Facebook links in order for them to get more likes, followers etc. I'm not sure about the criteria but I guess the clubs must have a Greek history and must be operated by Greeks. Here's some Swedish clubs: Akropolis IF - they are currently playing in "gamma ethiniki", where they finished 2nd after a Kurdish team last year. They went to play-off but unfortunately lost both the even games. History: the club was established in 1968 by the Greek society of Stockholm. I definitely think Van’t Schip should stay on for at least 2 years. He needs to restructure this team. I am much happier with Greece’s performance. We were so organised defensively and stood to the plan. Limnios was great today. Donis and Limnios are great to have in this side. I just want Donis to be a bit less selfish. Donis speed and Limnios speed is definitely needed in this team. Bakasetas doesn’t deserve to play ever again. He showed determination but didn’t execute and most time killed our momentum going forward. He is not good enough for this level.

Masouras not playing joke, bakakis and Bakasetas joke play koutris. Donis should have started and mantolas. Even pelkas is not bad option. Fetfa would be helpful in creating chances... something always stinks with call ups seems like corruption doesnt make sense. Limnios was great.

You might not be wrong at all but at some point we need to stick with someone for a while and give them some time.. he already spoke about the egos on the team and he already said he needs to rebuild this team so let’s juts give him a chance for a bit and see if things start looking up as this will not be a quick fix..

I guess I will be unpopular with my opinion now but I think we are kinda wasting our time with Schip. I admit I am pessimistic just for the moment.

Okay I can see he is determined to make those changes he thinks necessary. Somehow my gut feeling tells me it is no use (although my premonitions have been always bad since 2014). Lets hope I am in the wrong.

Aaaaand the Great Question: WHERE WAS VLACHODIMOS AGAIN?

Anyone who doesn’t think donis is our best attacker by a F***in mile needs to get glasses. It is criminal that another coach benches the best players. Why is bakakis playing? Why did bakasetas play 80 min. What a joke

It’s amazing how stupid some coaches can be. He picks a fu kin goalie who’s been benched by his club team, and plays bakasetas through the middle. Greece are doomed until they get a coach who plays players who actually have quality. Manolas and sokratis r probably laughing

And they did it. Next season Akropolis IF will play in the Superettan, Sweden’s second tier. With 4 games to go the lead Division 1 with an advantage of 13 points.
