  1. Seriously, you should let this obsession go. You keep repeating this "Stafylidis cost us Euro qualification" line ad nauseum. Even if it is the case that he played utterly terribly, what about the other 10 players on the pitch, what about the other players on the bench, what about the EPO, what about the coach ... or coaches, what about the tactics, what about Greece losing to fishermen and out of all this, all this, you point through the big piling mass of errors and shame and somehow single out one player, one lowly player at that, not even a player who is in the starting 11, a player who only gets a run when others are injured, not a key player, a player not expected to be a leader, and you point your finger at Stafylidis and say, "YOU cost us qualification". Yep, everything else about the campaign was perfect, but that Stafylidis, he cost us qualification. Jesus help me.

Ketsbaia is testing out a very interesting and attacking lineup in training. I'd personally would love to see this but it's risky in an away game.

  3. Defensively I would say Tzavellas is not quite as good as Holebas. But that is counter balanced by the fact that Holebas gets forward a lot more, because well, he just has the instinct, which can leave us exposed at the back. Tzavellas is more conservative in that regard. In attack, Holebas is 3 times the player of Tzavellas. Much more complete and just had that drive to make something happen out of nothing. Stafylidis is still a work in progress but he is showing good signs. If he keeps improving I can see him becoming our permanent left back in a couple of years. Either way you slice it, Greece is the poorer for his having retired.

  4. The experienced guys to look up to for youngsters now must be Toro, Sok, Samari, Oresti, club Mykonos, even Manolas. That type of person is Not Tziolara. A new Wiki leaks article came out that Tzioli used to do the dog work as a midfielder, then Kats got in his ear and told him to work smarter, not harder. And there you have it, the finished product today. We need experienced role models, mine on here are the likes of La Mendel, Skanka, Aktriti, Ellas,Nick-d-Greek and G Lazo the DJ!

  5. Omg I forgot about the incident with Samaras. K. Pap needs to be in the team. What a mad man.

  6. Lololol that's brilliant. Where is it from? As it turned out he was right, no? Avraam was tragic before being injured. Another Santos golden boy used far past his expiration date

  7. Papadopoulos is so essential to the team, I don't care if he plays RB, DM, CB or even ST, put him in there. He will give you 100%. If every player has his mindset we would be smashing everyone. He has the passion, he has the drive and energy and he does it for his country. I'm thinking way ahead of myself but if we want to do well in the World Cup in 2018 he must be in the starting 11.

  8. ^we did dominate possession last campaign against Finland,FI,and NI even Hungary and we ate goals on the counter and set pieces from each team, I don't think anyone is suggesting go all out and neglect the defense, I think the issue here is there is no fluidity in our game, there is a huge gap between Midfeilders and Forwrds, when we are attacking or breaking out we aren't moving up as a unit which is not giving us options to control the ball, it seems like our chances are one and done either it ends up being a solo act by a player with no support. We need to close the gap between our back end and Forwards. I feel like our mids are afraid to move up in the fear of getting caught on the counter which is really ruining the flow. It doesn't help that Maniatis is in the midfield. We need someone to be able to control the mid and control the pace. I know we've been searching but until someone with SKILL is put in that role it won't change our style.

  10. Yes, Jim Adams, don't bother us with some fancy statistics, numbers (easily verifiable), and whatever else. Truthiness is what you feel in your gut that matters. The ICE people are the most reliable sources on the matter of immigration, because, heck, they're totally objective. Also, don't you love the argument that unless you know someone from the ..inside you shouldn't have an opinion even if it's backed by ascertainable* facts and logic. *facts can be discovered; not everything is a matter of opinion.... [but you can't argue with people who say, like, evolution is just another theory....]
