First off I just want to say that those PAO fans on here taking the piss should be ashamed of yourselves. Where's your Hellenic identity mounia? If AEK go out tomorrow we will prob have 1 team in the CL, and you guys aren't winning the league so you're basically supporting the fact that a foreign team will make the CL instead of possibly your own? :blink:

Oh come on with the Hellenic identity guilt trip. We dont have to support who we hate regardless if theyre Greek. Thats your idea that if its Greek or sponsored by Greeks you have to support it. Maybe not all of us agree, and following everything Greek without question may only make YOU feel more in touch with your heritage and that is perfectly ok, but dont try to push it on us.

I was kind of neutral about the game, I hope for the Greek league to get a foreign spot, but then again I hate OSFP and I love it when they exit europe early every year. So its tough...I grew up with the rivalry and Ive been to Karaiskaki during the Olympics in their atmosphere, been to derbies, and I can say I really hate everything about them. I hate how they take their faggy club flag to Greek events, boo PAO Greek players at ethniki matches, attack OPPOSING team buses (its one thing to be pissed off and an aliti, but to attack the OTHER team for accomplishing their goal fairly is just pathetic) I hate their crap chants, I hate their mediocre -freeloading stadium, I hate their douchebag players who dive and act like bitches, I hate the city they represent because its a slum, I hate communism, I hate Red Star, I hate Tsoukalas and in general most OSFP fans I have seen...and I prefer Ukraine to Pireaus ANYDAY :tup:

We are who we are we are Greeks but PANATHINAIKOS fans as well....Ethnikitsi you should convert... :P

Well said from some Pao and Aek fans about what needs to be done. I wouldn't expect anything constructive from the rest (the known idiots).

What drives me crazy with Sollied isn't the way he coaches our team because I don't know enough of football to effectively criticize his work. But I feel very angry when I see him in a constant state of denial for the last 3 months. Mr. Sollied, if you think that budget is not enough or that the upper management and the diva players don't let you do your job GO TELL IT IN PUBLIC THEN RESIGN ! Don't say that we lost because of our weakness in stimenes faseis! Don't play the innocent, like Bake did !

As for the game:

1) I cannot believe some of the messages I've been reading here today regarding the players. I am absolutely devasted with the way the game went, I still feel sick, BUT how some can criticise Maric is beyond me! If it wasn't for Maric we would have conceded 4! How many times did he break up their play? He was FANTASTIC! The others who deserve a special mention are Djole, who was superb, and Zewlakow who was a rock throughout. And all the s%$#! about Pantos and Babangida should stop NOW! What the F*** is wrong with you guys? Pantos was poor at times, and Babangida was quiet after the first 20mins, but I saw them fight with everything they had for the fanela today, esp Pantos.

2) Ribo is too slow now, he just can't cut it in the CL anymore. At times it was like we were playing with 10 men because he couldn't offer anything. We had 2 probs today in attack. Firstly, there was no incision through the middle. We'd work some lovely passes at times but there was no creator in central position high up the field. This was mainly because Ribo was too slow to shake off his marker. The 2nd prob is that everytime we got into a position on the wing we had no presence in the middle, i.e. no target man (Konstantinou). However, people seem to forget Konstantinou was back from an injurt and lacking in fitness, it's not like Sollied just chose to drop him!

3) Nikopolidis was pathetic today, but he has been sensational at times too this year (Valencia at home, Roma away, etc) Trust me, Giannou and Butina are not as good as him.

4) Everyone is ripping Sollied, and there's things I'd have done differently. Statistically this is our worst CL year in the last 10 and that's esp shocking because its the weakest group we've had in the last 10. HOWEVER, if we sack him now we'll finish 3rd!

I'm gutted guys but let's not just turn our backs on the players and manager. Where's the loyalty? Pantos died for the cause today and some of you just want to crucify him, what kind of fans are you? I still believe that the backbone for an excellent team is there, IF we keep all our players. I do think we need 6 new players though. A left back, a centre-back, right-winger, a defensive midfielder, a striker and a creative midfielder (a magician to replace Rivaldo). We don't even need that much money, maybe

robbind teams of points thanks to the refs (like vs kalamaria last weekend)

Normally slick I would agree with what you say

but when your team does the exact same thing that you are accusing us of "referee help" just look at this season in particular.... then you should have no right to accuse us of this..

2-0.. 3-2 comebacks... what about u guys vs OFI 3-0 .. 3-3 comeback vs a team u own (and OFI was also walking around)

i mean look at your game vs Rapid also..... your players were walking around looking like thyre trying fo find soemthing to keep themselves busy.but if you were playing Barcelona.. you would cop 5 with that mentality like last year.!

Our hellenic identity is not defined by supporting any greek team in europe...this is bul**it! I want oly to lose, even from turkish or jewish teams but believe me..i love my country more than anything!

E bravo sou, your parents must be so proud.

U maybe support pao, aek etc. in european comps. but this is not the case for every oly fan!

They're just as bad! I'm not going to back them because they are Oly fans, like I said, all the probs we have ever faced as a nation and a people is due to our own m*****es. I'm just as nervous, and excited about AEK tonight as I was last night about Oly. Back your nation and forget rivalries.

I must be the only one in here who is happy with Olympiacos' performance yesterday.

This was the best I have seen them playing for a very long time.

We had the initiative, kept position, avoided mistakes, looked for the goal in sensile manner for 75 minutes.

In the last 15' Sollied's panic took over and destroyed our chances of getting the goal we needed.

Some of the players were really fantastic, Maric and Pantos were exceptional, Djole is back, Sezar looks the best defender we had since Novoselac.

It's a pity Antonis was in a bad day and we conceded a soft goal.

We'll see what Koakkalis plan is, in my opinion these players have one more year in them.

With a couple good signings and probably a new coach we should be able to win the league easily and build something positive for next year in Europe.

I don't think that it was the best in a while.... We haven't seen great soccer from Olympiacos I think.. The closest that we saw Olympiacos play great soccer was during the friendlies before the season started...

Our midfiled needs to change and needs to change quick because these old guys can't keep up with the youth of tomorrow
