pao123 Posted October 19, 2005 Share Posted October 19, 2005 lyon were the better team today and have alittle better team then oly...these are facts..i am sorry olympiakos, i want you guys to take points and end this awful away run you have made...i was hoping it would come in france and as lyon kept missing their chances i saifd to myself..."just one big play and they are in"...for alot of the second half oly played with alot of urgency...they played like they actaully wanted it, which i havent seen so far this season, and that is somethig to be proud of, but once you guys scored, you lost all your urgency...there are certain players who just are not playing with any passion...alot of players that just arent playing their hearts out for the team and thats why you guys self destruct...i really honestly wanted you guys to take points...i wanted it for greece, but you guys scored, then crept into your shells..for alot of the match you guys looked scared...why?? lyon are a great team, but by no means unbeatable...it just doesnt seem like you guys want to play in europe...your players need their heads checked...kafes, god damn, he plays well cause he has HEART...he loves oly and he wants to succeed..thats why he does well..he isnt the most skilled important amazingly talented player, but he plays with some passion and drive and thats why he succeeds, if all the players, or at least most played like thay, olympaikos would have won today... all we can hope for is a different resault in the next few games...it may take a few year, but i want to see three greek teams in the CL again...please oly, prove everyone wrong and help greece...play like you want to be out there.... SO, my question is why was the ref wearin a mic?????????? as far as the game is concerned, the first half, ur player allways fell into the penalty area PATHETIC... but in the end u played better than Real, thats 4 sure.... and by the way, please watch ANY of ur games before u have an oppinion geezer....ok? NYC_Olympiakos Posted October 19, 2005 Share Posted October 19, 2005 i saw the game and i will tell u one thing Olympiakos limited Lyon's attack to a minimun but how they hell can u leave Govou so open like that there was no Olympiakos player near him from 10 feet as for Kafes earning a spot on the NT are u ###### kidding me he was horrible in the whole entire part of the game he was just able to gather himself for that one goal and u know wut if he does that every game he can be on both Olympiakos and NT line up but don't start praising him best player on Olympiakos was Toure he was the only one with any creativity out there he kept his head up high and was surveying the field i also thought Bulut played quite well out there i mean he hasn't played at all this season for the most part but he suprised me and played a nice role now to Sollied somebody said he was good from wut he has been are u blind or something when did he make a sub after we scored the goal to tie the dam thing up prior to that Lyon made 2 subs and they were going for the attack b/c the sensed a 1 goal lead wouldn't be enough and they were right i mean we were down 1-0 and we stayed in a 4-5-1 formation until Konstandinou comes in for Stoltidis then we go 4-4-2 when the game is tied the team came close to get a point inspite of Sollied tactics for starters i thought Pantos was out of position he was basically playing a midfielders position but i could live with it for a certain extent we did have a vast amount of possession in certain parts of the game but we lacked creativity nobody to get the ball and shoot it on goal i mean the commentators kept saying if Lyon is making all the subs up 1-0 i mean wut is Olympiakos doing not trying to make any changes they were questioning if Konstandinou was fit or not and then he comes in when we don't need him hell if Bajevic was coach today we wouldn't have lost 2 games like that back to back we are now enjoying a 4 game losing streak in C.l. counting last season the curse of Bajevic is upon us and u all know how good he is feeling sitting on his coach and seeing Olympiakos shitting in its pants Bajevic said it from last season our problem is in defense and u know wut he sacraficed the offense to make a better defensive team and it worked for the most part Sollied makes 2 subs after 85th min Bravo sou re Sollied this so called European coach the Psyche of the team is worse then its ever been before now i am wondering why Pao didn't get Sollied maybe they knew something and they ended up with a better coach in Melsani who has coached in Serie A and won a Uefa Cup and we get a norwegian that coached Club Brugge to the Belgium title lol say good bye to Europe again !!!!!!!!! athinaios Posted October 19, 2005 Share Posted October 19, 2005 I also expected a thrashing, but they way the match was played gavroi should have gotten the 1 point; I didn't see a good Lyon, so it was beatable today. I don't know what's wrong with gavroi in euro play. I mean certain matches they were clearly inferior, but in several others they should have won. Sometimes crashing defeat and smashing victory are separated by a thin line, but luck over a long time should break evenly, so it's got to be something else... I hope we get points in euro so we could send 2 or 3 teams to the CL Hopefully in the remaining games gavroi will play freely having nothing at stake.... Good luck. Interesting as it might be, PAO would have signed Trond months ago...Rumor was form Belgium, that he was known to make teams bid for him, in order to get better contract extensions with his current team. It looked like he did the same with PAO?... Either that, or he was contacted by that dirty kakalis, and was "convinced" not to proceed with PAO! Do we really think it is a coincidence that out of all the available coaches, osfp signed the ONE Panathinaikos wanted just a few months before? Look at similar examples, Antonis, Mihalakis and now Basinas? It is hard to say who made the better choice... I have always liked Malesani as a man, better than Trond. It remains to be seen if I will like him better as a coach as well. Both teams are improving, however Malesani's tactics have been on target the last few games, especially where it really counts, the CL! Not goodbye to Europe yet. Osfp has a chance, with help, to advance over Rosenborg to the Uefa. :tup: PAO should and could, have beaten them last year in Norway. Ros. were better then. Osfp needs a win and a tie at a minimum. Akritis_1944 Posted October 19, 2005 Share Posted October 19, 2005 I didn't watch the game, but I did get a score update from ESPN in their chelsea coverage and when I saw that we were already 1 down inside 4 minutes I thought that this was going to be a rout. When Real was down 1 nil I still had no doubts that they would recover, but in Oly's case, we are talking about a limp outfit that has shamed the shirt on so many occasions in the past. Why are so many people happy with losing their 4th game on the trot and again not registering a win in 27 away CL games? This is the attitude that has brought the club nothing but mediocrity and failure. What's with the defeatist outlook? This is loser mentality, paidia! I think Sollied has to be given a chance as a coach. The whole European mentality of the club has to change and he could possibly do it. Kokkalis should not be buying players, he is a fu<king ilithio when it comes to footballing nous. Also, the following players should be cut at the end of the season as they are not European standard: Anatolakis (Overrated hack. he should have been released seasons ago.) :tdown: Pantos Mavrogenidis Okkas Georgatos (he's 3 seasons past it) Nikopolidis (Give Giannou or Lemmens a shot) hey just my opinion, but it can't be any worse than how it's been going recently. How long will it take for you guys too understand that certain old horses in your team, have had their day. Look at pao , they put 3 young players in their squad and they have made a big difference to the team. Because they have ambition and passion to succeed. Where are your youth players, why aren't they being given a go. Until you get rid of the sapiles, your team will always be known as s%$#! kickers of europe. you need new blood and not has beens........... Everyone start cheering for PAO...seriously. our C.L. campaign has been long over we lost everything on the day we lost to Rosenborg not only do we stink away but at least at home we were invincible for the most part and now that edge is gone for at this season we still got a shot for the Uefa cup spot but it all really depends on us beat Rosenborg in Norway (don't bet the house on that) i don't see Rosenborg picking up any more points unless its v Olympiakos or maybe the last day in C.L. v Lyon b/c Lyon might secure the 1st place spot by then did anybody else see the match today didn't Djordjavic look pretty bad at the pitch i mean he was taking all the set pieces and he was horrendous to say the least all his corner kicks went into the hands of the keeper and anything else he did for the most part is irrelavant if anybody read my statements before about Sollied i do think i was harsh but rightfully so i mean the only reason i am killing the guy is b/c he took over Bajevic position after he won us the double and almost got us into the next phase i mean Gate 7 pushed Bajevic out and look at where we are now i mean we weren't really that good last year and Bajevic understood that so he was smart enough to sacrafice good offensive play to sure on the defense and he did a good job of it now Sollied didn't built this team and we all know he wants to play 4-3-3 but u can't do it with this team plus he still has another 2 years on his contract after this season and he will not be fired unless its right before the 3rd season as coach if Gate 7 thinks they can push him out then they are wrong the is our coach b/c wut kind of message will this sent to any person that Olympiakos contacts for the coaching position they won't come plus Sollied did get us Toure who is the real deal and should be an attacking midfielder i will tell u one thing Pao is far ahead of us i mean Melasani has been given the key to the team to built a team in the next few years and he got a really young team and a couple of vets i mean he almost lost his job but regained order and pao is on the role while OSFP is sputtering anywayz start thinking up dumping the oldies once the summer approaches Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

His tactic was bad, his subs were not timed right and he seems to me that he was afraid of the game. Konstantinou should have started no doubt. Djordjevic once more didn't play well in Europe. I think next time he should stay out. Kafes' goal was yet again mesmerising and also Kostoulas played really well, although he lost Govou at the end. I didn't like Bulut.
