Ziaka
Heard some rumors today on a Thessaloniki radio station. One was that Neos Panionios will be fined with a 12 point reduction from the league standings. They did not say the reason for this, but they mentioned that news of this should be coming out within days. The other rumor was that EPAE is strongly considering expanding the A' Division back to 18 teams. These rumors were mentioned on the Extra Sport radio station, and they were suggesting that in either case the two local teams that are struggling to stay in the top division will not drop to B' Division. Batigol
Why would they expand it? The revenue generated from these games couldn't be that much to want to open up the league, could it? What effect would this have on B too? They way I would see it, the two top (or 3rd,4th teams...depending on the situation) teams in B' have effectively gotten the shaft as they were probably expecting to move up...get some cash, sign some players, bring more fans in, etc.... Re: Neos Panionios Just when you think a club has turned the corner, they're getting ram-rodded back into the stone ages. The reasoning behind this move should be interesting...I'm sure it's financial.
aiolosply
About Panionios: they say that FIFA ordered EPO to take 12 point of Panionios if they don't pay ~130.000 euro for a couple of its ex-players.Since it is the 2nd time FIFA warns EPO for the same subject, EPO is forced to comply or get a punishment. anyone with an update on the matter please reply

Ziaka
It appears Panionios came up with the money, and they are sending it to FIFA through EPO. Case closed. No 12 point deduction, something Aris and Kalamaria were hoping for.
