tihio10
The US now pressuring hard to try and equalise the score... Brodeur playing great though..
tihio10
Canada gets a power play with a little over a minute to go, with five minute major's going to Halidan? (forgot his name) and Scott Niedermeyer for fighting and two minute for roughing to Mario Lemieux and two minutes for roughing and two minutes for goltending interferance to Steve Konawalcyk. USA arguing about Brodeur not getting a penalty for roughing Konawalcyk. Canada tried to get a shot on net before the 2nd period is over, but fail to do so. Canada goes into the third period with 40 seconds remaining in their power play.

tihio10
Hannan has replaced Ed Jovanowski in the lineup, because Jovanowski suffered a "lower body" injury in the first period of the Canada-USA matchup. Head Coach for Canada Pat Quinn chooses to start Martin Brodeur in net for the second time instead of putting in the homecrowd favourite Jose theodore, the Montreal Canadiens netminder. Personally, I think Brodeur should of had a rest today. Solvakia even before the game started looked like it would be an easy win. Besides, Theodore would probably do good in Montreal. Stupid desicion by Quinn.
