Vyntra, Avraam...Just horrendous players.

Does Papadopoulos actually play at OSFP??? I dont get it he was a star at Aris....

Shame on Otto for not putting in Galitsios or Maniatis. I don't see the point of running down Vyntra when he's obviously doing nothing and the experience is meaningless for him.

The whole team doesnt seem to care - Senegal is moving at half speed.

Even one game like this in the WC, and we're out.

Salpingidis should leave his pushing and shoving crap for somewhere else and use his frustration to put in a goal.

Can't say one negative thing about the Senegalese they probably played at half speed but were fair and got what they deserved against a LAZY ASS GREECE!

there will prob be a link on atdhe.net in about 50 minutes

Just make sure your Antivirus software is up to date -- I just got a phishing warning when clicking on a link for the game (using Kaspersky Internet Security)

second half a mess - avraaaammmmmm factor.

average age of senegal team around 24 they run they chase and have some skills - but the overplay and thats how you beat these types of teams that have been relying on speed.athleticsm...

off theball tactics/attacking open spaces - we cant outrun them. need to ouththink them and be one step AHEAD of them as the play develops.....but, as the second half showed, when everyone is not on the same wavelength, then gaps/breakdowns occur...

of course it assumes that everything was at half speed due to friendly.....

one of my old coaches use to preech - "u play like you practice" but this is what happens when you flood the team with new guys - the rythm gets thrown off....ultimately its what friendlies are for....

we cant have it both way - if we are always scremin for otto to put news guys in, we have to expect this type of result....

Fair enough, but Otto didn't actually put the new guys in.

Kapetanos and a bit of Lazaros, but the rest were all familiar faces.

We need an RB...Maniatis and Galitsios sat the bench without a single minute played. Why--- so Vyntra can prove to the world more that hes a mediocre RB yet again, while the other guys work their whole season to get to this point and not even touch the pitch in a game to test new players?

In the WC likely we are going to have to put in 2nd choice players - that situation ultimatley arises. Why not give them some match experience so they don't have their first or second cap against Nigeria or Argentina??? Wouldnt that be a good idea?

If a game is already going to sheer waste like it was 2nd half today, why not make wholesale changes for the benefit of rotation and reserve players, because its clear the starters arent gaining or accomplishing anything.

greece - England 1-0 HT

man those guys can play...they are real fun to watch, they dont play tight at all....very fluid and they build their attack rather than long ball...quick and purposeful

the futre is in decent hands....

Yes that is how Greeks have tradiotonally played.

Put the same bunch of players under Otto and he will "coach" that style out of them in half a season. Resort to building his team around the defence and counterattacking with long balls down the wings.

Wake up people. Otto is ruining this team. Just because he coached us to Euro glory does not give him the right to take us backwards.

greces debt........i know its a soccer site, but i happen to know alittle about this...

Problems:

- european union inclusion gives control to greeces monetary policy to people that dont know have a deep understanding of greeces economic policy making needs

- 5% of the people still control the bulk of the money

- political system that has zero accountability

- tax revenue enforcement policies that simply don't work

- inability to compete on an international scale due to short sided economic policies

- ** public sector (gov employees/retirees) comitments consume over 65% of revenues yet DO NOT CREATE JOBS OR CONTRIBUTE TO ECONOMIC GROWTH OR DEVELOPMENT

a huge shift in mentalty is needed - aint happening..........

its the greek way.....you can take the horiati out of the horio, but u cant take the horio out of the horiati......you just cant legislate someones soul...period...all the training, good equiptment, top facilities still dont mean much if every individuals heart is not in it for theright reasons...at this level, 25% less effort is a recipe for disater, especially in such a physically demanding sport that allows one to impose their will on the other....

i said this before - it comes down to PRIDE - individual pride to be the best you can be at whatever you do...that drives you, and collectively lifts the whole team....

its obvious, greece is more of a "game day" team...their best results normally come with their backs against the wall - circumstnaces that they create with inconsistent efforts sprinkled within good outings....

what's disturbing is hearing the captain of the team say these words - these are comments of growing pains, teams struggling to find their indentity - you would think we are past all that with allour experience and time these players ahve spent together......and by questioning tactics, he takes a swipe at teh coach - and it sounds like he is done with the defensive mentality that has dominated their style.

we can disect his comments until we are blue in the face. bottom line is they better find the "switch" and turn it on at teh right time or else they are going to get their asses handed to them on a silver platter in south africa.....
