Euro2004
Mmmm, we could win this one... or tie and make it interesting? Hi mate. I'm pretty sure it's PAO-AEL rather than AEL-PAO so I can't see anything other than a PAO win. 2-
cyberfish
Simao, Goumas, Ivanschitz will sit this one out. Simao with cards, the other two seem to be done for PAO. Nilsson is also out with injury so we'll have a good chance to see what Moon is made of. It would be interesting to see if Mattos will start. There are reports that Karagounis will play next to Gilberto. If this happens I won't like it one bit. Finally Kara is playing in a position where he can excel and be a game changer: Lurking around the box from an interior-left position. Pulling him deep helps ball distribution in the back, but no one can replace Karagounis up front. I see a more conventional 4-4-2 with Gabriel/Mattos/Gilberto/Karagouni in midfield. Larissa is a very good team and they looked really fresh in the game against PAOK even though they lost. We need to be extra careful and put this one away. drakos13
quite simple, to stay in first, we need to win today. I think Im glad its at home, becuase it should give the players some more confidence, and theyll be more vigilant for the away tie vs AEL. Im going to say 3-1 PAO, or HOPE 3-1 PAO rather. I don't think our "home" is all that good for us! ;) Like Ten Kate said, we lost 14 points to 3 teams there in this season. In euro play too, we did better playing away. cyberfish
The lineup: Galinovic, Moon, Spyropoulos, Vintra, Sariegi, Gilberto, Gabriel, Karagounis, Christodoulopoulos, Salpigidis, Roukavina Let's see a good game!
GreenTitus
Hey Cyber. I 'm pretty sure this is gonna be an entertaining game judging from the lineup. Terrible turnout btw - no more than 2,000 on the stands apaprently...
cyberfish
Hi Titus. It's hard to pull fans into the stadium once the weather gets better no matter how important the game. I think Roukavina will score a couple to make Drako happy :P
cyberfish
BTW, I like this Iglesias guy from Larissa. I think he would be a good option for PAO's DM rotation next year...
cyberfish
Larissa giving ball movement lessons on the pitch in these first minutes. Nice play by Karagounis to win this foul.
cyberfish
I was at a function yesterdeay - the kind where some people make inspirational speaches - and one of the speakers brought up a soccer analogy: "you miss 100% of the shots you don't take". cyberfish
I don't like the looks of it. We look too good in a friendly-like game. I am worried :D
cyberfish
Hey, Moon looks pretty good. Two nice crosses so far from the fullback position. I am not used to this..
GreenTitus
It's all good except that we should start shooting at some point. Sometimes I get the feeling our chaps are looking to pass their way to the back of the net! PS: Ruka can be pretty annoying at times... Far too casual for my liking. cyberfish
Wow, 50 meter diagonal pass by Iglesias. I say straight up exchange with Tziolis is in order
cyberfish
I too don't like the casual style of Roukavina, but he looks like he has some talent and he'll get better.
cyberfish
Karagounis is in top form today! He wants CL! Ma ti kanei o Roukavina. He reminds me of Vamvakoula
cyberfish
Nice first half. 2 goals, fluid game, zero worries in the back. What else can I ask for? Oh, wait. Why isn't Mattos/Mantzios/Ninis in the game? :bangin:
GreenTitus
I just don't get this guy. Pateras goes to Paiania, points a finger at him, calls him a tourist, threatens to kick him out and still he pulls all his usual nonsense in yet another game. It just beats me...
