Euro2004
As many of you may know, Ketsbaia stepped down as Anorthosis manager a couple of weeks ago. Most neutrals would accept that this season's Anorthosis was the best we've ever had in Cyprus. Sure we flopped in the league, but the squad wasn't big and it was one hell of a long season. Nonetheless Anorthosis put Cypriot football on the map. We were unlucky to lose 1-0 at the Italian Champions, before we earned a 3-3 draw with them at home. Weder, who are in the UEFA Cup semi finals, couldn't beat us in 2 games, and we also beat PAO. These were legendary moments. But with the season being so long we couldn't maintain it and congratulations to APOEL for being where they are. This has left us out of Europe though, and knowing things couldn't get any better Ketsbaia stepped down. Well, the search for a new manager has begun and reports are claiming that we're close to securing the services of former Panionios manager Ewald Lienen! Anyone that follows the Greek league will know how good a manager he is and I'll be delighted with him http://www.novasports.gr/soccer/league_cyp....asp?aid=176088
Omonoia9
Ketsbaia served Anorthosi well in his years there as a player and manager. Anorthosi fans should let him live on in Anorthosi lore.
