Euro2004
Our chances of qualifying have all but gone, but we need the points. I predict a 2-0 win.

DUDE
Says the guy who says Anorthosi are still in it He's right. There's a play off to play. If Anorthosis beats Omonoia and APOEL in the play offs we are right back in it. You'll have to still play APOEL too so anything can happen. Omonoia9
Too much to make up, bad form, tons of reasons why Anorthosi has little/no chance
Euro2004
Too much to make up, bad form, tons of reasons why Anorthosi has little/no chance Anorthosis' form has been ok, won the last 5 prior to the loss against APOEL.The difference is 7 points so it's a mountain to climb but considering that Ano still have to meet both the top 2 while they have to play eachother, anything can happen. This is a national team post though, maybe you could move this discussion to the other board so we can carry it on? :) You can mention Omonoia's cup defeat today while you're at it too :P

Euro2004
We're supposed to have quite a few players out aren't we? I've heard that Efrem, of Glasgow Rangers (on loan at Dundee) has been called up. Is this true, does anyone have the squad list for the up coming games?
Omonoia9
I'll look. Any result that's not a win is unacceptable. No excuses!
Euro2004
Good 2-1 win for Cyprus tonight. Ireland's draw with Bulgaria has also reignited our play-off hopes in my opinion. The table now looks like this: TEAM_____________pld_____pts Italy ______________5_____ 13 Ireland____________ 5_____ 11 Bulgaria___________ 4______ 4 Cyprus____________ 4______ 4 Montenegro________ 4______ 2 Georgia___________ 6______ 2 Bearing in mind that we've got a game in hand over Ireland, plus we still have to play them at home, and Bulgaria twice, while Ireland still have to go to Bulgaria so the group is still wide open. Whereas if Ireland had won tonight it would have been too difficult imo. Let's get a win in Sofia on Wednesday now and we'll be on our way!
Omonoia9
Couldn't get on Phantis all day  Cyprus 2-1 Georgia FT '33 CYP Konstantinou '56 CYP Christofi '71 GEO Kobiashvili(Penalty) 2 Omonoia players strike for Cyprus. Kobiashvili's penalty makes it interesting but Cyprus hangs on for a big win :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Cyprus have been alternating homes since October, and this is the 2nd match in Larnaca since then after having hosted 3 matches in Lefkosia since the loss to Italy, and it ends well for Cyprus, this time. The next home game is a filiko against Canada, and it is slated to be in this very same venue. Cyprus for now hit the road for an away tilt at Bulgaria. It will be tough all the way, but maybe we surprise them. Until Wednesday, this is Omonoia9 saying so long from Larnaca
