Irlandos
The final game of the Euro 2008 qualifying campaign to be played at Windsor Park, sees NI playing against Denmark. Both teams desperately need a win tonight to keep any slim hope of qualifying alive. The weather here is quite miserable. It has been raining consistently since this morning with no end in sight. The first game at Copenhagen saw today's opponents draw 0-0.
Irlandos
Unbelievable! Drove into Belfast in pouring rain only to find out the Dutch referee had called off the game! However, UEFA overruled him and forced him to play it, to the delight of the crowd! Denmark went ahead in the 51' after a melee in NI's box. NI equalised after a similar melee in Denmark's area. Finally, 10 minutes from time, David Healy chipped the Danish keeper to keep our hopes alive! FT: N. Ireland - Denmark 2-
dark_horse
This victory may be too little too late, you shouldn't have screwed up in both matches during September, otherwise you might have overtake our position (Sweden) for 2nd place. Irlandos
Btw, the little chip over Sorensen's head made it a grand total of 13 goals in this Euro campaign for David Healy which breaks the record for Euro qualifiers previously held by Croatia's Davor Suker! :)
