Did you really just say “I have strong issues with argumentative speech” Thanks for the laugh I needed that.. You know you sound like a foolish child when you make remarks like “maybe it’s because most of us Live abroad” that’s as stupid as me saying maybe you don’t feel the passion because you are half Greek and half French Which believe you mentioned a while back.. do you see how stupid that sounds.. at the end of the day there’s no point of going back-and-forth with you on this topic Because I don’t think your brain can comprehend what we are trying to say. I was prepared to keep this conversation civil until you started taking shots.

Like the little kid that goes to the Greek army and feels respected for wearing the ethnosimo, meanwhile he is cleaning toilets and putting fire on his metal-bed-parts because they re full of flea. Everyone who agrees with you lives in U.S.A. or Canada. Hardly easy to follow up the Greek reality from 2 oceans and 2 continents away. It's just your nationalim kicking in thinking any of thee players who have an average income 100-1000 times more than the average Greek after a few times of being called up, care much about reprenting the flags instead of representing themselves and their player value and recognition.
A player selected for his NT could be nothing less than proof that he is one of the best players originating from his country. Thus, why everyone is killing themselves to get on it. The fact that a player's financial value goes higher when they re called for their NT is one more reason why players want to join. Same reason why some people like Villafanez and Balldock have been heard recently.
Also, you re pointing the finger to me about bringing up Manolas and Sokratis saying U re talking general about it, while the argument started exactly on the name of them two?
You really have strong issues with argumentative speech. This time, I mean it.
Why do you cheer for Greece then? Why not Kenya?

If that’s the case, they should just pick the worlds 300 players, and mix them up into blue, red, green etc. Club teams in any sport can choose everyone they want. In order to play for a country you have to be a citizen, otherwise uae would pay everyone to represent them.

Anyway I have a question, is the friendly vs Honduras?

No you don't play for your country. You play for your teammates and mostly your close people. Country contains some groups of people that I for example would never feel I represent them.
If that’s the way the Greeks think then that’s pathetic. That’s why this will always happen. In Canada people would die to wear the Olympic hockey shirt. But anyway, you right. Done deal.

Wrong again.
If you say so.

Returnig the "reread wheat I said". There is no country in the middle even in a sports sense. Its just a sports federation. Period. Maybe take a reading comprehension course.
When you play, you’re playing for your country. Representing your homeland. In any sport. Greece won euro 2004. Not EPO.

Seriously? Blame a guy because they weren't calling him when he was a starter at Arsenal (talking about his first 1,5 year there) and blame a guy for being called when he , really , can't help and even admits it and refuses to go?
All players come of age at some point. It's not their problem you didn't utilize them when they could help, but you pick Labropoulos and Lazaros Rota instead.
Epo =/= country. You have these things confused. You don't represent the Country on the way you think. That's why the Greece NT symbol ακα εθνόσημο is not the same as the Official Greek Symbol.
Chill with the "they don't care about their country" mentality.
Reread what I said. I said in a sports sense. Before you put people down maybe take a reading comprehension course.

Looks like the most recent updates are that Kyriakopoulos Papadopolous and Kapino are returning to the squad for spain says JVS on Greek tv. Manolas and Sokratis declined call ups and wint play. Chatzadiakos suffered a knee injury for AZ in the dutch league 2 days ago so i guess we need Papadopoulos now. Giamkoumakis sat out Venlo's last 2 games with a nagging groin injury but hopefully he returns to action for them tomorrow and Venlo already said he got the obvious call up. Hopefully its quiet injury wise the next two weeks since losing chatzadiakos is not ideal
Chatzidakos is made of glass. Geez.

I guess they don’t care about their country in a sports sense as much as people thought they did. Oh well, good riddance. There are a lot of others who will wear the shirt with pride. Anyway, it’s not like they’ve been lighting the world on fire with their play this year. Rather have people who are playing well than just having the past and the name.

Yeah Monaco. Lol. Now that’s funny. Thanks. I had a bad day. Needed the laugh.

Giakoumakis is scoring in Holland I believe. Anyone can score there as we seen with PSV. Douvikas plays for Volos. Speaks for itself. I would like to see tzolis up front. I think he has the Messi type game to play striker even though he’s on the smaller side.

@Pana_For_Life you make good points. We need to play our best players and I think JVS is starting to realise it. Now that he’s considering Manolas, I will always put Manolas in my team selections on the forums.
This is the 23 man squad I’d choose..
Vlachodimos
Androutsos Manolas Mavropanos Tsimi
Ninis Zeca
Masouras Fortounis Tzolis
Douvikas
Subs: Giakoumakis, Barkas, Dioudis, Alexandropoulos, Ioannidis, Mantalos, Goutas, Michailidis, Bouchalakis, Lykogiannis, Limnios, Giannoulis.
That’s the best currently in my opinion. I know some guys are thinking Ninis again? But the guy on his day is our best midfielder. Go watch full match replays if the last 2 games he’s played with Volos. You can’t tell me you wouldn’t be impressed with his creative passing and movement. The only problem with him is that he is injury prone. Apart from that the guy creates well, defends well and reads the game well.
You can even start Tsimikas or Giannoulis at LM/LW and take out Masouras and put Tzolis RW. Douvikas is there because I like him the most and he’s in great from. He’s scoring every week.
Androutsos should start at RB but I see JVS playing Mavrias or Rota there. He’ll probably call up a few more since we have friendlies to play aswell. Kampetsis could get a call. I haven’t put Pelkas and Bakasetas as they most likely will be involved.
If douvikas, androutsos and ninis see the pitch, I’ve lost all hope for mankind.

Ha! Start off with the toughest game, we will see how we do on March 25th!
In 2004 qualifying they started by losing 2 0 to Spain. Then look what happened.

This is an easy second place.

On a more serious note, I hope he has a speedy and full recovery.

It was a good campaign. They played well. With some luck here and there it’s a different story. I think they will be a lot better during the World Cup qualifiers. More experience will only make them better.
I only have 2 bad things to say about this game. First, tzavellas needs an attitude check. Otherwise it’s gonna cost is one of these days.
Secondly, I would like for someone to tell me why our players have loads of space in front of them but stop and turn back. Or never take on a guy one on one. I know they’re a slow team, but come on. Take a chance beating a guy now and then. Especially Bakasetas

I say 2 0. Giakoumakis will score one.

Other game is at 0-0. Right now we are one behind Slovenia at Goal Differential. Does anyone know what the next tiebreaker is after head-to-head and GD?
It won’t matter. They have to win today or they’re screwed.

I think tzolis should be given a shot at a full couple games. He’s 18 but it seems he’s on a path to stardom.

I am not against Canada or other countries with the exception being the Turkish government. Please dont call me a racist that's a heavy charge to hurl without know someone. You are on a Greek site and on occasion like Bouxou you seem to root against the Greek National team? That's my issue with you!
I’ve never ever rooted against Greece. EVER! I’ve been following them for 35 years. I’ve seen ugliest of times. I used to scrounge for 10 bucks when I was a teenager to go watch their games on satellite at a theatre. I’d never want them to lose. Ever. I kill my data on my phone and sneak away from work to watch the games. If I didn’t care, I wouldn’t do that.

Ok internet tough guy. We get it you hate Canada. We get it. Your opinion. What I don’t understand are the idiots in charge of this site that let you post racist s%$#! about other Countries. But whatever makes you happy. I mean putting others down only shows your racism and insecurities. If you were a real man, you’d probably should say it to peoples faces instead. Maybe you’re actually a 13 year old girl though, my bad. Have fun in whatever shithole you live in. I’ll be the bigger man and not reply to your racist messages anymore. Have an awesome night.
