Good points for sure Greece have to be ready to play from the start and try and get in front early and finish off the match. I am sure Georgia will be up for the match as they were against Sweden.

Defensively the team looked solid like under Otto and Santos. Bakasetas was hustling but he couldn’t hold the ball up and lost possession to cheaply. Will take the point. Before the game I said if we get any points of Spain it would be a huge bonus.

I just saw that in World Cup & Euro qualifying since 2003 Spain at home have only dropped points on 5 occasions and Greece have taking points twice from them. with yesterdays draw and the 1 nil win there in Zaragoza in 2003. Very impressive.

Not that good defensively, Georgia had a few good chances in the first half on the counter and a great chance in the 82nd minute when they forced a terrific save from Nordfeldt if the shot was placed a little more to the left corner probably would have been a goal. Georgia were unlucky to not get a draw in this game.

Against Georgia I HOPE JVS will start Fortounis, Giakoumakis and Tzolis. Mantalos should not be starting. Georgia will most likely sit back and Greece will have to break them down with some nice ball movement and will need a good finisher like Giakoumakis out there.

He is very good. I just wish he did not play for Bayern I have never liked them but they are one of the top all time clubs of world football..

I did not like the exclusion of Fortounis and Giakoumakis from the starting eleven but JVS had a plan and his second half subs were excellent. Bakakis made a lot of tough clearances and threw a few nice slide tackles in as well. Great team performance to come out of Spain with a result!!

Heard of him good back but the US puts 5 in on them and even mighty Haiti got 3 in the gold cup and sent Canada out.. Against Spain the goals would be flying in...

Sweden play Kosovo Sunday if they play like they did today vs Georgia I don’t think they will get out of that game with 3 points. Georgia created some chances to equalize and Kosovo are a better attacking team that can take their chances.

It wasn’t pretty but Greece got a draw in Spain where they usually man handle other teams like they did vs Germany 6 nil in Nations league and last World Cup qualifying they dominated Italy to the tune of 3-0. Now on to Georgia were I’m sure JVS will field a more attacking lineup but man we just got a result in Spain so CHEER up! ELLAS ELLAS!!

Definitely all of them were fantastic. They ran there arses off. That’s a team loaded with offensive weapons and we stifled them. I think if we defend like that vs Sweden they will have trouble with us.

For sure said the same about Limnios. He could have laid the ball off there. I was annoyed with Bakasetas but he made up for it with the penalty. That’s a huge point to get in Spain!

Also gotta say Tzavellas was solid. K Paps big match back in the Ethniki.
