Next World Cup is a definite no. Only 13 teams from Europ go. Greece ain't one of them. There has to be a overhaul of the whole youth system. The whole youth development has to be looked at and changed. something is broken. my guess is they will never change. It's unbelievable when you look at a country like portugal and for the last 25 yrs have produced some of the best players in the world. I could name like 10 off my head , lol. They should sort out the s%$#! in the EPO. 2022 is definitely out of the question. But 2024 Euro would be a possibility because of the nations league. If we don't screw that up.

But we can forget the nations league to get to the World Cup. Only the top 2 best teams who haven't qualified through the group stages will qualify for the playoffs. Greece has no chance in this because of being in group C. We are to far down the pecking order.

Europe only has 13 spots Meaning Greece is in league C so it won't matter if we finish 1st. We are so low in rankings we will never be a top 2. Actually they lost to Italy already. So they would have to lose to either Armenia, litchenstein, or Greece. Plus Italy again and Bosnia. You could forget it. Even if Finland lose 3 games which I really think is unlikely. We would have to win 5 games straight. Do you think we can beat the Italians in Rome? And a tough one away in Armenia? We will be lucky to beat Finland and Bosnia at home. Its over. The best thing this coach can do is call up young players and prepare for World Cup qualifying next fall. I've been saying the same thing since We failed to qualify in 2016. You could see the writing on the wall. Greece will not qualify for another tournament for a long long long time. We could already tell when as Euro champions we couldn't even qualify for the World Cup in Germany shame?? We won the Euros in 04 but what has changed? There has been no change with the federation or teams in building youth. Look at portugal where they keep challenging for youth titles and pumping out young players. What does Greece have? Nothing.
