  1. I think people would be willing to undertake something unknown than to continue the Alafouzo and Tzigger days
  2. BRAVO!!! All this bullshit about "Greek hating".... is exactly that... BULLSHIT... The gavro did well and should be congratulated on a win.... although like I said before... Arsenal is a "soft" English side... no bite to their bark... Great players, and rely on their skill/technique, but just don't have that killer instinct A team that takes it to them has a good chance at winning As for the other English sides... they are built on toughness and would STEAMROLL ANY GREEK SIDE.... even if you pick the top 11 players from the league on a team.. they would still steam roll them
  3. I'm waiting for the next rap album from XESSI-N
  4. Why are they bringin up the Veria case again... That's a closed case..... I dont understand why some of you get excited about that case.... All of it is "heresay".... that does not stand up in a court of law.... End of story... TELOS
  5. For me its easy.... Any dropped points against Xanthi coupled with a win from the gavro.. and the prwthatlima is over
  6. I'll believe it when I see it... This circus has been going on for years.... its the same story over and over
  7. Nope... You put the gavro against Chelsea, Man U, Man City.... they have no chance of getting a point against them.... Arsenal is the ugly step child of the EPL when it comes the CL.... they are waaaay too soft and think they are a Spanish side w/o the flair or fluidity.... their identity crisis gives their opponents a glimmer of hope to capitalize
  8. Arsenal is not a very good CL team... the gavro lucks out each time they get grouped with them as they are one of the easiest teams of the bunch for the 2nd group Which is another reason why I think they had a chance against Arsenal... I saw the Leicester game... they are a VERY soft team and can easily have their attacks broken up.... they have no chance for challenging for the EPL title One thing that Arsenal WILL capitalize on in the return leg is Walcot's speed... he will MURDER them on the counter... I have Arsenal as a favorite in the return leg as the dynamics will be diff... but I can easily see a tie... I don't see the gavro coming away with 3 points from a cruicial game like that which will probably diecide 2nd/3rd place And I don't see Dinamo taking points from anyone from here on... they are a very very very very poor team... Gordon is BY FAR their best defender
  9. Like it or not they won... Milise i kardia tou prwtathliti ;)
  10. Well it was nice having you act like a normal person for a couple months.... now back to the chicken little we all knew and loved.....
  11. Panaitolikos has played lesser competition than Xanthi which is why they have more points Xanthi has a much deeper and better roster than Panitolikos In regards to away games, we always have a difficult time with Veria, Levadiako and PAS.... pretty much every away game is a DERBY for us The gavro (from winning the title all these years) has developed an aura that allows them to beat these teams easier (and its not all due to the paranga) Like it or not... paraga or not.. the gavro this year looks really good
  12. ^^ what?? Thank god you don't run the team... they'd be relegated 5 times over...
  13. Well lets see PAO has faced Panaitolikos, Kalloni, Panionios, Levadiakos, Platania Gavro has faced Panionio, Levadiakos, Platania, Xanthi, PAS Taking the same teams out... Xanthi and PAS are MUCH better teams than Panaitolikos and Kalloni Not to mention, they beat Levadiako away which always becomes an issue for us
  14. Best defense: Gavro- 3 goals against PAO- 2 goal against Kaltsa vs. Fortouni (assists and goals) Fortouni- 6 Kaltsa- 1 JVC... dude why don't you just pay up now.... I mean even if Kaltsa has a good YEAR... he MIGHT get 6 goals.. 3 assists? Fortouni will have those numbers by December Accor has a slight lead in the defense department but gavro has faced better competition
  15. Mantzio is what he is... an excellent striker that is guaranteed 7-12 goals throughout the season w/ 4-5 assists on a bottom feeder team... He may not be the most charismatic nor influential.. but he's a player that does his job and scores I personally think he has a place on this PAO team as a replacement for Petric... but thats just me In other news... O Gavros tha paixei sta isia tin Arsenal sto Londino
  16. ^^^ :box: :box: :box: Don't really care if they are South Americans, Africans, Asians.... as long as they can play and offer some personality to this bland team...
  17. And I'll repeat myself like a broken record.... the players on the squad now have NO PERSONALITY.... The year we won the cup it was mainly b/c EVERYONE underestimated us and our players played into a specific system where everyone is treated as equals....our team is built on a system where there are no individuals... just players that do their part as a well oiled machine This is OK and all for teams looking to stay at the top half of table and make it into the playoff spots... but if you plan on winning a league you will eventually hit brick walls and go into a slump and thats where you need ur personalities to shine to win you games This team has none of them..... the reason why Anastasiou wanted Sanchez and Essien is b/c he betted on those players giving us that personality that I"m talking about... He didn't account for one guy having too much fun making sand castles and one guy picking up barmaids at 12 AM while overweight and drinking
  18. "butsting your ass" running... or "yelling" at players is not what I am talking about Its the type of presence that Karagouni used to bring The type of calm that Gilberto used to bring The type of morale booster that would permate through our players when Leto would flare with the ball The type of tsabouka our players had when Equi would demand to win The type of grit shown by our players when Basina used to command the midfield.... Thats what I'm talking about....
  19. 300 is OK... although I have a feeling by Christmas we will reach 1000
  20. I want a player (any position) to be able to lift his teammates when the team is in a slump When the team isn't playing on all cylinders or in que... Berg kinda falls by the wayside as well... You need a player that has that magical flair that can turn a game upside down or lift his teammates when times get rough
  21. Goin to bed soon but I'll take your word for it... Well the way we are going this is going to be a 1000 dollar bet by the end of it so lets take it a bit slower hahaha 300 work for you??
  22. At least its some damn life.... We have absoutely no personality to this side... thats why we fail in Europe and look lifeless out there.... Lack of attitude is what did this team in last year Berg is a nice guy... there is no bite to him Zeca is a consumate professional... the epitomy of Mr. Nice Guy Pranjic has a tiny bit of attitude to him.. but not enough to actually make a impact on a pack of bland players Petric rarely gets playing time and is not one to take the team on his shoulders Tavlaridis is a good player who will complement well with someone who will take charge.... NOT A LEADER Steele... typical English gentleman Lagos... too rash and not outspoken... quiet, hard worker I could go through the whole squad.... there is NOT ONE player who will show his teeth and pick up this team when they are down The year we won the double, we had players that showed their teeth... they broke the mold when we were in a slump.... players like Cisse... Leto... Karagouni... Katsouranis... All had aces in their sleeves to bring new life to this squad If this squad gets into a slump during a game... the whole team delves into a deep sleep.... there is NO ONE that can lift this squad.... Essien is not the character either as he's never been a leader.. just a GREAT follower... (although he's too busy getting drunk w/ barmaids anyway) Even for Ghana.. he wasn't a leader.. it was Appiah who led that team
