We asked early September to kick-off 20:30 EEST. This was denied for safety reasons as our fans were supposed to be allowed. PAOK agreed as we want our fans to travel with us. Seems only the VIP-stand can be used according to the "Periferia" and thus not stands for the ordinary people. Therefore PAOK says: if no fans are allowed we can switch (again) to 20:30 EEST. Monday would indeed be better.

With "the case" of Christos Zafeiris in mind I thought it is interesting to see if there are other lads in the Greek diaspora that might be good enough to represent Greece. Morocco is the perfect example of recruiting lots of youngsters from France, Belgium and the Netherlands. There is Konstantinos Karetsas of Racing Genk as you all know. In the Netherlands there is Dimitris Rallis, 19 y.o. and playing for Heerenveen (former club of Samaras!). At the sites it says he is Dutch. But his name sounds.... yep. Are there others around the globe? Share your thoughts or even better ..... names.

I think Razvan will start the 11 @PaokCT mentions with only the experienced Tissoudali instead of Chalov but not in the strange Christmastree or whatever system our Ph.D in football invented after smoking some herbs. Everyting other than a loss is a win for us. Clubs from Turkey are way "smarter" than Greek or other clubs. They sign big names, offer them net wages and agree to pay the taxes in the contracts what eventually never happens. And as nobody at their IRS dares to sue them to do so or file for bankruptcy of the big Fener, Gala, Besiktas or Trabzon there is a legal non-level playing field. But then again. We are PAOK. Our diffucult matches are easy or they look so, our easy ones are the toughest ones. PAME PAOKARA!

Tiebreakers Europa League: Teams will be ranked according to points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss). If two or more teams are equal on points upon completion of the league phase, the following tiebreaking criteria are applied, in the order given, to determine their rankings: Goal difference; Goals scored; Away goals scored; Wins; Away wins; Higher number of points obtained collectively by league phase opponents; Superior collective goal difference of league phase opponents; Higher number of goals scored collectively by league phase opponents; Lower disciplinary points total (direct red card = 3 points, yellow card = 1 point, expulsion for two yellow cards in one match = 3 points); UEFA club coefficient. During the league phase, criteria 1 to 5 will be used to rank teams who have equal number of points. Should any teams be equal on points and tied on the first five criteria, they will be considered equal in position and sorted alphabetically. The lads started the season with a 0-0 draw.

At the end Wolfsburg lost 4-3. Leverkusen won in their usual way: the winning goal in '90+3 (with Wolfsburg being down to 10 men at that point).

Last week Koulierakis was subbed in in '88 just to make fun of opponent Eintracht Frankfurt as they were convinced of signing him. Eintracht was the last one laughing though as they won.
