  1. Biseswar did not train today. Problems στο ισχίο (do not know the English word). Other main absent is our kerkida. The Ministry of Sport ordered that PAOK fans are not allowed to travel to Agrinio.
  2. It is getting worse and worse. Look at these figures. https://epfl-europeanleagues.com/wp-content/uploads/FINAL-EPFL_FA_18-VERSION-2018.01.12.pdf
  3. Clean sheets. Paschalakis now has 9 games = 810 minutes. All time record is 1,816 minutes by some Brazilian keeper. Great names like Van der Sar are on the list. All mentioned have 10+ games without conceeding a goal.
  4. Well, I’m saying it since December 17th (General News & Discussion). I’m surprised that the Greek sites and papers have not mentioned it yet. To be honest: I’m curious what our record and who our recordholder is on this matter. Not only clean sheets in a row, but also from starting at a/the club, and for Greece/Greek keepers in general. Internet did not help me out so far. But found this interesting site: http://xtrahistory.blogspot.nl/2014/04/Record-Statistics.html
  5. Saw the goals. First offside (I guess the takounaki fooled the ref and linesman) but agree with Bananas: all Vieirinha. Second good steal by Campos. Paschaliakis 9 games for us and 9 clean sheets.
  6. 2-0. Good result. Did we play well? (Was not able to watch the game)
  7. Line up: Paschalakis, Matos, Varela, Malezas, Vieirinha, Cimirot, Shakov, Limnios, Pelkas, Mak and Koulouris (sorry Christo!). Subs: Siabanis, Crespo, Azevedo, Cañas, EL Kaddouri, Campos, Prijovic.
  8. There are two ways to reach the EURO 2020: UEFA Nations League: all you need to know (from http://www.uefa.com/uefanationsleague/news/newsid=2079553.html#/): League C Pot 1: Hungary, Romania, Scotland, Slovenia Pot 2: Greece, Serbia, Albania, Norway Pot 3: Montenegro, Israel, Bulgaria, Finland Pot 4: Cyprus, Estonia, Lithuania Teams will be split into one group of three (containing teams from Pots 1, 2 and 3 only) and three groups of four. Due to winter venue restrictions, a group can contain a maximum of two of these teams: Norway, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania. The four group winners are promoted to League B, with the four sides that finish bottom relegated to League D for the 2020 edition. The top four ranked teams that do not qualify for UEFA EURO 2020 will enter a play-off in March 2020, with one finals place on offer.

  12. Another win. And it looks like nervebreaking wins with just one goal and heavy sweating until the last minutes are rare this year. And another clean sheet for Paschalakis. And the score in Toumba in SL is still 100%!
  13. Just saw an item yesterday on the Dutch National Broadcasting Company about Angelos Charisteas, as today the so called “Dutch Classico” is played. Charisteas is one of the seven players and the only foreigner to have scored for both teams. He returned to The Netherlands and now is co-owner of a bar/restaurant called “Libertine Comptoir de Cuisine” and the concept is that you can drink and eat all day (breakfast, brunch, lunch and diner). Here is how he looks like these days: https://exprofs.nl/charisteas-opent-koffierestaurant/

  16. Hadzidiakos and AZ Alkmaar extended the existing contract with one year (from 2020 to 2021). No details about his salary were revealed.
  17. Greece remained 47th after today’s release. Next release will be February 15th.
  18. Pffff. Only 1,641 tickets sold for this game. And only because about 1,000 PAOKtzides showed up after a three our drive from Thessaloniki and a transfer by ferryboat to Corfu. With the gavro playing at this moment just 12,011 tickets sold in 7 games. AEK got 6,014 of them; all the other games had just over 1,000 tickets or less. That is Greek professional football these days......
  19. The first leg of our quarterfinals cupgame against Atromitos will be played on Wednesday January 24th in Toumba at 21:45 EEST.
  20. The tournament just started but it is over for the Greeks. Tsitsipas lost in 3 sets from Shapovalov (1-6, 3-6 and 6-7). Sakkari lost in 3 sets from Siniakova (2-6, 7-6 and 4-6).
