Jimmy boy, the last three coaches proved time and again their systems failed. This guy started with no wingers in the squad. The jury is out on Angelos already and if he doesn't identify shortfalls, as his predessessors , the countdown has already started, till he is out the door. For me, there are people on this forum without coaching aspirations, that succeed in other areas of life that would perhaps do a better job quite frankly with the same resources..

If fans want a 3 5 2 - for real, then Ange Postacoglou has the balls to implement it, as long as it is carried out to the letter, the defence should be acceptable. Anyway, see what Ange A has to offer now that he is there. We know already he offer 4 2 3 1. Its not as if 4 2 3 1 is overl successful for the Pirates. Should try something else like 2 up front.

Now, Samaris, Zeca and Kourbelis are 6's. Bouchalakis is a 8. Who plays as the no.8? If Samaris is paired with Kourbelis or Zeca, who is deepest and who has the stamina for no.8 and link with Fortounis as the 10? Zeca has a big motor. Mantalos or Pelks should be considered here too. Just seems to be an imbalance with alot of these last few Ethniki coaches.

The first of this coach's errors to be pointed out.. too many AM or second strikers. Fortounis, Mantalos, Pelkas, Bakasetas, Karelis. Two of these guys should of been wingers. Lazaros, Manthatis, Fetfa Gianniotas..no speed on the edge. Karelis and Baskets are surplus to requirements.

You would think that the evidence is there for a 3 5 2 , with Siovas joining the squad, he along with Manolas and Sokratis would be the back three. Mantalos and Pelkas as wingbacks. Yet I cannot see any coach have this formation to take through to u19 and u21 to copy. It won't be the formation that all ages will implement. Ange A's preferred style is...you guest it, 4 2 3 1. I actually was in tears after watching that first press conference, like I was when I watched Lassie, Black Beauty and the Rocky series a long time ago. With all the boxes Angelos ticks, he has a cross against as well for not picking wingers. I remember Skibbe 's first howler was in a World Cup Qualifier early in his coaching days of the Greek team, I forget against who, but he brought on Tziolis for Fortounis with 20 minutes to go, and he was on fire and it was still 0-0. Then Greece lost the match. Momentum killer. Thats when my gut told me deep down that Skibbe's days were numbered. This is a 7.5/10 start for Ange A, before a ball is kicked. Early days.

Ange A made mention he is a man of few words, and actions on the field are what counts, he said only Vlaho and Masouras are the only new guys at this stage, although Lambropoulos is probably another. Ange didn't want to take any players from Nikopolidi's team yet. Obviously form got Fetfa into the previous squad, so I'm scratching for two reasons. Firstly I'm itchy, secondly I cannot figure out why Ange A didn't pick him as its not Fetfa's form. The Only reason that would be acceptable is that Ange A will play 3 at the back, with wingbacks. There is more chance of Socceroos winning the World Cup than me watching Hellas play with 3 at the back. Will Never happen. Not too fussed on the other omissions.

Ange A should therefore play with 1 DM, in a 4132 or 442 system. Play Donis or Koulouris up with Mykonos.

I actually mean a tallish DM for headers as well as being mobile and a good passing range. Samaris could of been the guy if he was playing regularly.

Who is a classy DM the Pirates could call up, Bouchalakis is more a CM and at a pinch an AM. Maybe Ange A, will make Tzioli$ skipper. If I'm not mistaken, all players should be on deck for Nov matches, except Kyriakos. Holebas!!!!!!!

Evaggelos Gramenos and his board tend to see alot of potential in Kostas Tsanas to take us to greater heights until 2024. Tzioli would of amassed a wopping 200 games for the Ethniki. Tzav would have 160 games.
